thopa, with the new rules you allow 0.1 sec record breaking if the time was, for example, 31.001 secs (and KZ showed 30 secs) and you make a demo with 30.999 secs (and KZ also shows 30) -> 0.002 secs difference and new record? sounds like you're giving the whole second barrier a distinct significance over all other times... it is a tough problem to solve, but i think once you start introducing these extra rules you will end up having to include accurate times for all world records with the possibility of beating a WR by any amount. keep up the good work though, it's great to see someone giving this some thought!

In the future there might be tools and features on this website so we can also handle quicker times in a better way, but this first step is primarily to handle demos like in mgD and zhady's case. It wouldn't be right to not accept mgD's demo. Every clock shows he is quicker, and his youtube-video shows it. That's why I had to make this rule (or first step), although I would like to take it further, and accept demos that's 0.1 seconds faster than the previous.

Gj kelta but thopa i think if someone have an fps 0040,07 (39 in timer fo sho) and other have 0039,98 it must be a new wr.. Its lesser and its wright.. And if 0039,98 39timer and 0039,41 i think it doesnt matter.. And ex3 if 0039,98 and 39timer, and 0039,22 and 38 in timer, that might be accepted its my opinion and i think its true sr for many "and" word :-)

2 of 007's classical demos had been anticipated to break sry,i m late to choose them for challenging hi thopa if a WR dont according to the time showed on hourmeter,i think it s not suitable. great majority of ppl also dont know the real time may be here mgD's 0516 faster than there zhady's 0516(real time 0518) if the faster one showed 0517 but the real time 0516?! what would u deal with? in my opinion,we are just for fun,though one is faster,timer hourmeter's show is the fanal. international competition can have the nomal order of mistakes. such as on the tennis court,everyone could not challenge the hawk-eye all the time they want. is it possible that a condition of confusion coming?! :(

For the guys who think that I "copied" buptuk... I was trying to beat this map (without that sc) So I accidentally found that ramp boost thing and thought I can use it for a speed boost to the timer ( I know it`s lame sc, so don`t remind me of that) And "What THE ? BupTuk first found this sc of speed , his demo must be , not mjuuh's , shit remaker . Gj all" At the time when I beat that map, I didn`t even know that buptuk had done 20/21 sec with the same(?) sc...so dont tell me that im "remaker" rofl.

mjuuh, if you tried to beat the map without the sc? Why didn't you even do one single skip more than StormZz's run? StormZz's run was a 23.1 run but he got 22.999 cus of his uber speed. I can't check your fps-death time atm, but if it is like 20.2 then it's easily beaten with the run I already did on that map. But I'm not even gonna try since that sc is waaay to lame to be true.. Us jumpers shouldn't accept that there isn't no rule against it. You did NOTHING faster than StormZz on the actual map, in fact I'm pretty sure that StormZz's run was faster as well as mine for sure. I just think it's stupidity that the admins are allowing this kind of movement before you even push the start-button.

You wouldn't even have gotten close to 21sec with that run. It's a good run, don't get me wrong - but we are talking WR here on a 20-25 sec map.

However my eyes managed to pick this up: "since you started this mess." WHAT? k3g did it first... then ndR, then you blame me for starting it? Back to the WR thingy... Like ndR said, the WR gets even better by a sc like kz_42_amazon sc. After the sc is discovered, everybody else can try it also, so it's not unfair in any way. You can still do the same shortcuts, bhops and skips after the shortcut. And aren't maps ruined with [b]all kinds of shortcuts[/b], not just timer shortcuts? Wouldn't you mind the shortcut if it was after 3 jumps, not straight from the timer? I understand your anger, but it's a matter of opinion, there's no 100% right choice. I don't mind shortcuts whatsoever, but I do not consider hooking/gravity/checkpoints in order to gain a speed boost [b]before[/b] even touching the start-button as short cut - and I will never do. For me it's like saying that using hook is just a shortcut. And sure StormZz could improve the current WR with that kind of lame speedboost, but I am 100% sure that he would never sink to that level and even try. And to answer your comment Gargoyle, this is a very small map and StormZz did 22.99 so you can calculate yourself that in order to beat this WR, you would have to improve the demo by 0.9 seconds - almost one second. Which is ALOT in such a small map. Now what mjuuh did was doing the exact same run as StormZz, but one thing is for sure - it was [b]not[/b] faster. I have done this map with one more skip than StormZz and mjuuh and wasn't even close to 21. So my point is, I am pissed - and If I was StormZz I would be [b]really[/b] pissed. This is just not fair, since he would [b]never[/b] have gotten even close to 21 without having the speed boost before touching the start-timer.

Which do you think is better? That mappers make intentional shortcuts in their maps, but XJ forbids doing them, or if mappers don't do intentional shortcuts there and there and XJ wouldn't need to do anything? I can't believe that you're against the hooking/gravity/checkpoints... That takes a shitload of time to always run to timer and even more to jump all the way to the shortcut, that's just waste of time. I'd still do the same run, but it would just take hours longer to get it. I bet Z0ck3rOO7 was fucking pissed when clintmo_longjumper[e] was screwed with the 256 cj sc. Isn't that pretty much the same thing? But hey, that's life.

Guess, sadly, you are right Supa. Flibo don't tell me you would have done the same runs if you had to jump all the way up to the tree first. But, what I wan't is a rule that says you are not allowed to push the start-button with more than 250-269 units speed or whatever. So no jumper to the other side of the river wouldn't fix my "little" problem, since you would stille push the start-button with too high speed. Got it?
