Since I've started to accept demos where the ingame timer and the record time is on the same second interval there will be no more timerbugs, as long as the old demo has the same ingame time as the new, but where the record time is showing another second. As in the pictures in the .rar linked below. There has been so many complaints against these "timerbugs", but as I said; they won't remain as such demos can and will be replaced from now on. Hope you are all satisfied with this, although some of the current WR holders will loose their demos, but they are slower and 'incorrect' anyways. Stupid new rule. 12 sec. are 12 seconds. The maptimer doesn´t have more then two places after the xx:xx!! When somebody found the secret at first and get 12 sec., it is his record. Don´t measure with thirdpartymodtules the miliseconds. Really stupid.

well thopa rule is ok but its kinda lame cuz everyone's checking short old demos to improve them 0.00001secs just to get +1 it's not the rule that's is wrong, it is jumpers who show no sportsmanship...let's see who's the pro jumper who records downfall boxes... anyway, good job kunqui #1 recorder atm and #1 @top5 in a few days bogan here

I think it was better before.. This rule is unnecessary and requires more work. Counter-strike has some bug. It's more funny if you play with it. When there is a new demo is expected to see a demos faster..On at least 1sec with another run and not the same. But it's your work, gl. (sry [b]bad[/b] english)

Maybe the new rules is bad.. But it'll be used now or later.. Demos becomes harder and harder to beat, we'll have to pwns demos with 13:37 [u]xxx[/u] miliseconds. So the new rules is maybe bad for now, but fo sho it'll be used.

It's a perfectly reasonable rule, if people are going back and checking demos for slightly faster runs they deserve the WR because not only did they make that time before the current they -ran it faster-. People have nothing to worry about if they made the best run, if you don't think a record is safe go improve your time! As long as the process is completely automated, that a program is working out the time to 0.000001 it makes perfect sense. Like heL^_x said, even if for some freak reason this rule isn't put in place now, it will be, it just makes sense.

I don't personally like that new rule, cuz imo the world record should be beaten by 1 second, not 1 millisecond. I agree with benZ here that cs has some bugs, and it's fun to play with them. Dujes, it's not 1 millisecond. The 1 second barrier is still there. I read all the comments and I see most of the people don't even know what it means. Let's take cg_wildwesthop for an example. The ingame timer said 2:47, but it was 2:48 in fps-death, so it was REALLY [b]2:48[/b]. kunqui's demo showed 2:47, but his time in fps-death was [b]2:47[/b]. It's still pretty much the same system... It's just less lame because timerbugs are eliminated...

Come on dudes please take a step back so as to get a broader view of things... We reached a point where most of the short maps and almost unbeatable only with the Kreedz timer. This time is like 5 or 6 years old, Kreedz couldn't imagine the kz community would grow up as much as it is nowadays, less than seconds was totally [b]useless[/b] before. I think we need this rule, or we need a new timer. Long maps will still get pwnd by several seconds and short maps will now be able to get pwnd, isn't that great? More maps to record, more world records, what's the matter? The same run? Let me laugh about that, most of the the WR beaten nowadays (except the very long maps) just look like the same, [b]the only difference comes from the jumper's style[/b], and that's the same for short maps. I think people are whining because this rule allows jumpers to pwn unbeatable maps before, I've been a recorder too, and I know what means "recording a short map", harder to beat so you'll be quiet for a long time before it gets beaten. It's only a new step belonging to the evolution this community needs, because it really has stagnated too much in my opinion...

Do you see what Yohan did there? He came down like an angle from heaven in the midst of your battle and shed light on the situation. As far as the topic goes, I think the rule is a step forward in KZ. I do however think if you are going to go by Milli seconds you should post the full time so we aren't all staring at the screen saying 20 to 20? Its a good concept with minor flaws that can easily be fixed with the next batch of demos. I just hope people still record other maps instead of trying to improve other demos by mere milliseconds.

If both player A and player B finishes in "x" seconds, how do u solve the dispute? Just tell me that! Obviously we don't have no other options than to check the finer details... saw the demolyser analyses of the demos by thopa, they are perfect and suffice the purpose very well.
