06/06/2009 23:23:00

Insane Weekly :/ Uber long and it covered many good topics. I found it to be too long to read the whole thing, so i skipped some parts. Will probably read the rest some other day ^^ Good job guys! <3

06/06/2009 23:24:00

gj weekly team

06/06/2009 23:25:00

[03:23pm] <DaFox> oooo I'm excited for the XJ wiki [03:24pm] <DaFox> I remember reading a DeFRaG (http://www.breakdown-hq.com/) wiki and it was amazing, they had math formulas for the perfect strafes in quake3 and stuff like that

06/06/2009 23:27:00

Too long is not a criticize for me. You are free to skip some parts, but I would suggest to grab the sense behind it, since thats not only a "week in review" weekly.

06/06/2009 23:38:00

Oh my god, I just got a feeling that I should thank all the admins out there. *gives thanks at mirc* The weekly is huge and almost unreadable in one day. It's a weekly for a week. Good job everyone and especially chrizZo <3

06/06/2009 23:46:00

It's easily readable in 10-15min without being bilingual Pieshels :O If you think it's too long, just read a part, do something else, then continue and so on... ^^ I already told you on Steam friends what I thought about it chrizZo but once again, GJ! I wrote some weeklies long time ago and I know it's a LOT of work =) I hope the members will understand what you tried to bring with all of this but well... I doubt a little bit about that ^^

06/06/2009 23:49:00

I didn't mean it as a bad thing chrizZo:) I think you guys are doing a great job. I liked your weeklies even at insilio, and the two weeklies you guys have written here at XJ has been really great. Well written and very interesting to read..and long as fuck! :D Just wanted you guys to know this ^^

06/06/2009 23:53:00

gotta hand it to you chrizZo! ur tha man! lagster you to dude! <3 the weeklies u guys make are just what this site lacked! great that this was fixed. about the weekly. well i kinda have to agree with ndR about this... i dont think everyone will see the point of this weekly, but as a head admin myself i can identify with some of the problems that XJ`s administrating staff has. :) the only thing that i can say about this is that admins try to do their job as best as they can, so be kind and think about what they do for you :)

06/06/2009 23:55:00

verry interesting weekly,gj chryzZo & lagster! more information please :)

07/06/2009 00:33:00

07/06/2009 02:14:00

nice work chrizZo :)

07/06/2009 02:15:00

@Mr. Miyagi, i know that. I am referring to SilverNinja's project of making database for all KZ records ever made ;)

07/06/2009 02:25:00

3ddy is still amish <3 + the public article idea was also mentioned by emti and me when we started to help out xj, why do they come up witht hat idea just now when it could have been done earlier :X

07/06/2009 06:46:00

gjgj all :D

07/06/2009 08:58:00

I'm very impressed this article but still have several questions. (I don't want to ridicule you guys, this is only lively interest because you doing serious job.) Excuse me, one of the head admins Faker still study in school and have no professional education like colledge or institute? And what kind of education have other adminstrators? Any professional courses done? And where running all XJ servers — on *nix or, pardon, windows server? Thanks in advance. 8)

07/06/2009 10:16:00

@SchlumPF - cause xj is stealing EVERYTHING that was good about insilio!!! ffuuucckk RIP insilio weeebssitteee

07/06/2009 10:52:00

Kinda long but I enjoyed reading that info about XJ staff. N1 weekly.

07/06/2009 11:23:00

Enjoyed reading the weekly. Very long, but still very Informative. Simply amazing. I've been waiting for a "background check" of XJ. Good job, chrizZo & lagster.

07/06/2009 12:25:00

Uber weekly. Really enjoyed reading it!

07/06/2009 12:34:00

Niceeeee

07/06/2009 12:47:00

@hazard? when emti and i started helping xj was exactly a year ago, the insilio website didnt even exist back then if i remember correctly. @rightn0w faker is studyng law at the university in munich. i dont know about the other admins but does it really care as long as they spend a lot of their free time for this community and are quite nice to talk to? i personally going to school, in 2 years ill be able to go to a unviersity too and i never had any feeling when talking with an admin that he is dumb or knows nothing.

07/06/2009 12:59:00

back @ SchlumPF, im saying that recently they've been adopting a lot of their features from the insilio team/website...they recently implemented an article/essay forum for everyone to post in...suddenly its here too, as is their discussion forum and weekly team....tis a sad sad week

07/06/2009 13:00:00

Great job guys, I really had fun reading this (also learning some old and new stuff :P). 3ddY, chrizZo and lagster <3

07/06/2009 13:39:00

really nice

07/06/2009 13:40:00

xj wiki is win :D

07/06/2009 13:47:00

Hazard, dont worry about Insilio, because there soon will be a new site with a lot of features too. it's called Dinsilio: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197975400704?

07/06/2009 13:56:00

very good job

07/06/2009 14:30:00

(sorry for the mistakes, english isn't my native laguage) 2SchlumPF Maybe I misunderstood, but after „But that only worked because I still went to school at that time, of course.“ I thought that he still goes to school and questions about education were born in my head. You see, without the skills is difficult to do something. And this deserves more respect. :) Nothing personal, just interest about some invisible aspects of this article. I ask little specifically — XJ crew has no sertified specialist in IT? And you are all enthusiasts?

07/06/2009 14:50:00

Well good job but there's someone missing - ernstaugust. As far as I know he was one of the head admins on XJ and he was the guy who introduced faker. Also, faker wasn't head admin from the beginning, and lastly, you could say something about FikoN, because he also did something for XJ, eventhough he acted like a child afterwards.

07/06/2009 14:52:00

Thats interesting, „palace intrigues“. :)

07/06/2009 15:19:00

Hazard?: Is it so hard to understand that people actually come to us with their ideas/projects because they want to implement their ideas at a place where they can reach the most people? XJ is the central hub, if you like it or not... and it's important to have a central hub/community like this, because having a decentralized community didn't work so well - history proved me right.

07/06/2009 17:04:00

@ Jumbalar. I didn't want to focus on the history of XJ, thats why it's not that detailed.

07/06/2009 17:59:00

faker to bad xj isnt helping insilio gj chrizzo

07/06/2009 22:02:00

@chrizZo then you are saying lies :-) You can see from [link=http://xtreme-jumps.eu/comment.php?comment.news.34]this[/link] news that KZMAPS.co.uk are dead - on 01.06.05 And then, some news later, [link=http://xtreme-jumps.eu/comment.php?comment.news.50]XJ recruiting new admins[/link] - faker & Teluex - on 18.06.05. Then he started being uber active and made his way to the "top" of the management. --- As far as I understand faker wasn't the second headadmin when XJ got the official KZ community for records.

08/06/2009 00:11:00

If any facts are wrong, go directly to Moxx, because he was the one that gave me some history lessons. I just believed in his words, because I thought he should know best. If thats wrong, I'm sorry and thanks for your vigilant reading^^ But as I've said it before, this has no effect towards the sense of the whole article. So the discussion will get relevant, if I'll make a history weekly.

08/06/2009 08:51:00

Its interesting to actually get some kind of response from the admins... however if its so hard for you guys to keep on top of everything, by which i mean the low priority issues, then maybe you should think about getting more administrative members on board specifically to manage such things. Cause as much as you may all consider them 'low priority' which they may be in terms of RUNNING the site...to alot of the people who visit the site that dont see that, its a major issue. I myself, being one of the people who 'flame' about my issues with the site, AM aware of what the administrative team do for the site and community, however as much as that is covering alot of what is required its not EVERYTHING. therefore i think it would be a positive step for the site to maybe even out the workload by recruiting additional admins as i said before to take care of what you consider a minimal issue.

08/06/2009 08:55:00

and @ faker - i believe its the same type of thing as moving the discussion forum here. it just seems with that niche community it was filled with people who actually cared to read/think about what was said. as we all know and have heard a million times im not a big fan of the xj community, mostly because its full of people who really dont give a shit, full of people who dont think about stuff and just say random useless crap that actually drowns out the stuff that matters. insilio was a place where i actually felt like i could say things and they would be heard, considered and thought about. as if what i said made even a 1% difference. however thats the polar opposite to here. thats why i believe 1 central community is a negative thing. and why i believe insilio shouldnt be so quick to move their features to xj.

08/06/2009 09:36:00

Really nice weekly guys, great job. This was really interesting to read, even tho I skipped some parts. I'm getting real excited about the wiki, sounds like a really good idea. But the article thing do too sound like a great thing. I really think that these two projects will make XJ to an even better place. But you still have to consider that some people wont be serious and maybe see the opportunity to destroy what other people creates. That means that you will have to have an solution which will prevent people from ruining great wiki-posts. And again, GREAT WORK :)

08/06/2009 12:52:00

Yea thats a problem where we have to find a solution.

08/06/2009 16:51:00

I will tell a little, but who can will read. At me very bad English, therefore I in any way did not help XJ, but within 4 years I everyone visit this site as I consider its and all people who helps this site - unique and a vivid example for other sites. Many thanks - faker, OddYsseus, ev0, asix, arF, T3dBundy, sj, eDark, Moxx, r0L!k, Helferlein, Goatech, maLi, FikoN, mypTx, thopa, ernstgaust, NoEx, rad0n, kimo (for climb) and so gyus. Thanks you that you did earlier and that do now (who else operate). I always wished to help XJ, but never it did, as anybody never would do my English. As, probably and now.

08/06/2009 18:14:00

tuching post. thx for historic

15/06/2009 13:09:00

my involvement and massive amount of help seems to have been forgotten around the time when kreedz left and moxx took over. Moxx at least will remember my engagement back then at and that at the same time, this was when the production of kzmod began.
