Demo Explorer - Explore your kz demos

By kz`Moxx mapper·
Imagine a simple program, that you can check your demos before you submit them? A program that checks every important command of your demo and tells you about it?
Well it's finally here, and it's made by gangien and trooper.

Features:

§ Check your demos for having the right settings
§ Open multiple demos at the same time
§ Watch movement playback in realtime
§ Change the colors of the graphs
§ Open Sourced under GPL v2
§ More features planned in the future with automatic updating you can toggle off

* Be sure to go to Settings->Preferences to change your default directories
* It only works on demos recorded in listens currently
* Requries java 1.6 installed, if you don't have it the installer should install it
* It does eat up a good chunk of CPU/Memory
* File bug reports if you encounter something and include the log file it tells you to

All this in one complete program for personal use, and the code is free too, enjoy.

I checked with fps death, it says 21:29... How do you guys count? Do you have to divide the time with a number?

it is one of the most unique programs for CS now, I so think. as it is valid something unearthly at present perfectly work gangien and trooper. eDark support this program? :) but.. little problem. шn options->reference I've specified a way to a folder/steamapps/.../cstrike folder also has specified a way to steam patch, (a label steam on a desktop). ок, I start "play demo" but the demo does not play, in what the reason?

09/08/2009 11:14:00

nice, gj.

09/08/2009 11:26:00

The program enjoyed! Well done authors . Good job

09/08/2009 18:09:00

wow that playback stuff seems really cool :o

09/08/2009 18:45:00

nice work both

09/08/2009 19:23:00

Excellent tool...I can only suggest that you make commandline version of it or dll so that I can run it without window (i.e. via script) and extract three things: FPS, real time and bool which says is it legal or not.

09/08/2009 19:41:00

Very nice job to you both!I have a question:When i open a demo, why it doesn't show anything in kz summary??status:blank,time:blank......all blank... And please make it so that when someone goes file-open,it auto opens the cstrike folder!

09/08/2009 20:12:00

sperminator: kz summary is for start/stop timers. so if you don't hit them, it won't show anything. you can enter your own frame numbers in the combo box tho, if you like. We dont' detect all timers, ATM, but we do as well as demolyzer does, i think. m0ver: yep, something like that is on our todo list.

10/08/2009 22:02:00

Wow, cool software .. nice work both.

11/08/2009 04:21:00

Nice work dudes. Maybe in the next version u could implement some multiple demo selection, opening each one of them in a diferent tab(not window), showing individual results of course. That would give more usability to the users, specially the national community demo checkers . And maybe instead of showing that error when trying to play a demo with unset game directory, u could open the responsible window where this can be done. Oh and of course, when the game directory is set, i guess it would be interesting to set the initial demo opening folder as well. Cya.

15/08/2009 23:08:00

gj thanks for your nice job XJ, lets get it!

18/08/2009 04:07:00

@Sioux Thanks. Those are some great ui suggestions - they will be in the next release (tabs, multi-demo selection, etc).
