Another newspost about fakedemos and cheating
Hey guys,
really a sad day for the kz world and a sort of premiere, in a very negative way though: 2 newsposts about cheater in a row.
I never thought the day would be coming when I have to ban one of out top5 players... named heL^_x.
Apparently he and some other french guys were thinking that spr1n is cheating so desperately, that they decided to create a "undetectable" plugin to make jumpbug and submit a cheated demo themselves. Therefore they created a plugin that had godmode enabled, and did remove the sounds of it... With this plugin you can do a normal duck standup bhop with godmode enabled to imitate a jumpbug. However, it was kinda obvious to see, even without fps-death admin. However, a closer check brought more than enough evidence since this was very easy to detect.
The sad thing is that heL^_x decided to submit this particular cheatdemo to prove XJ incapable of detecting stuff like that... and made a friend of him named H4d3s submit the cheated demo heL^_x recorded. Finding evidence that it was actually heL^_x who recorded that demo was not as easy as detecting the plugin/fake, but in the end we found 100% evidence for that, too.

Even though this is more than enough sad news for one day, I'm not finished yet.
Obviously this is not the only immature stuff heL^_x has been doing so far... Some guys mentioned their suspicion that he might was recording some demos for his close friend elfeN, so we compared "elfeN's" streetbl0ck demo to heL's old streetbl0ck demo and some other demos of heL and elfeN submitted and made for kzfr and found out that it was indeed heL^_x who recorded that demo for elfeN.
A little note to the admins from kzfr: kz_rd_giganticwall_elfeN_0654, which was submitted to your site, was recorded by heL^_x and not by elfeN as well.

All involved players got punished according to the rules.

Last note: After having an internal discussion about this case, talking to him and reviewing his statement, we came to the following conclusion: It's not possible to tell whether heL^_x really wanted to submit that demo. He recorded a demo with a fakenick before (streetbl0ck in elfeN's name), therefore it's impossible to know whether h4d3s sent the wigbl0ck demo with or without heL^_x's agreement. However we agreed to change the (6months) permanent ban (and chance to write an essay to get unbanned) to a 6 months time, since heL^_x already explained hisself in his statement and already showed that he is sorry in a private conversation.
