yeah, this map really, really oWnZ =) good job radon !! only the longjumps are not that good, but i did them after some tries :) . but pls tell me what happens when u press the "Alba Button" :o? ? i pressed it but nothing happend :/

the alba button opens some doors in the map, and there is pictures of jessica alba :P just go back in the map after u pressed it :)

yeah i did that when i finished the map 1st time, but then i went back none door was open :( . at the 2nd try it worked :D, but the first door is still locked :(

hehe u cant get back to that door o.O (without noclip and alike) so i didnt make something there :P and if u press the alba button 2 times the door will open and close again :P

i vote for admins because user's judgment cant be trusted.everyone have favourite player and will most likely give his vote for him even if there is a better demo. admins should be neutral when deciding which demo will be rotw

I disagree guys, the users always pick the nicest run made in the whole WR release, also there will be fanboys but hey =D Nothing wrong with that ^^ The only thing would be getting this organised, you'll have to open a thread each week for this then, but no problem I think otherwise! Good job PU9maker, doing a nice job!

which is the purpose of making a ROTW in xj front page? isnt it just to make us watch the best run of a demo release done in a movie? so if this topic is just for US, then WE are supposed to choose whatever we want to watch in a movie.. so the answer is kinda obvious...

I voted "users". Should be like this ... best solution I think : let the users decide, and after the decision has been made, admins see if its truly the best demo or it has been chosen because of fanboys.

Ideally speaking, it should be users. But in terms of organization, it's way faster and easier if the demo admin choses it, as it is now.

firstly, great poll and good idea. I think users should select the ROTW ultimately, perhaps with admins votes counting as 3 users or something. The only problem really is with a big release where people will be voting without watching all the demos and prioritizing to watch favourite jumpers maybe becoming unfair to unknown recorders. Of course with people like kiskis uploading entire releases too youtube this is easier and if a few people say something in comments it could persuade the users to watch a potentially good demo. If this happens, i believe it would be important to be able to change your ROTW selection as a user whilst the vote is still active. Lastly one thing to think about also is there could be 2 amazing demos in 1 release and then a bland selection of demos for the next week, what do then ?

ok so maybe chose a few users that are active and watch all the wrs in a release to choose the rotw? if you let users choose the rotw, you (admins) will also have more time to focus on more important stuff, so there is that aswell. everyone has a different taste and there will always be people to hate on the chosen rotw i'll go with users obviously, it cant turn out bad no matter what, easy choice.

or maybe make a poll everytime there is a release, first demo to reach 100ish votes gets the rotw, unless you want it to be not public(which would not be possible if community gets to choose it) :)

I voted for admins because I enjoy the variety. I'm guessing there will be far less variety in types of maps/runs that will be selected if the users have the choice all to themselves. Anyway if it ends up with users then I have one suggestion: Don't show the results to the user after they have voted. Knowing which run will be chosen destroys part of the fun imo.

I totally agree with ya. The surprise is a very good and important part of the ROTW tbh. Taken into account admins are users and have about the same tastes as random users, if a run pops out, I'm pretty sure they'll notice it. Still, normal users can always say during the release " blabla ROTW ...".

In my opinion this ROTW session is being ruined by Kiskis. He uploads all of the demos so every one watch them before ROTW relase and then we got to watch it second time with some edit. It became atleast boring for me. Going back to the topic of this poll... I voted for admins because there is just few people in adminstration they judge it. If user will chosee the ROTW there will be over 200 people to vote and only like 50 would vote acctualy. Because of the time that ROTW are posted after relase. What if the votes would be equal will u guys do the same poll again or admins would chosee one of those anyway?

Man I didn't mean to offend Kiskis to be clear he is doin great job. I just meant that there should be some cooperation between XJ and Kiskis. So Kiskis would upload that one run that will be in ROTW after posting the ROTW or ROTW should be posted with demo relase. But what it seems to that users will choose it so nvm.

there hasnt been a rotw really worth watching(editing wise) since kaffee's one imo. so whether its the users or admins who get to pick up don't really matter to me i guess. just a small question tho: who has been picking up the demo as rotw all these years? cyclopp? if so, has he actually watched one single demo he chose? or were his choices solely based on the demo rls comments? :>

Admins since players with a larger fan base will definitely get ROTW each time. Variety occurs when an admin chooses the ROTW. Also , I suggest Demo Admin who checked the release to be the one to select, since it's most probably only he who has watched all the runs and remember which were 'amazing' . Users will definitely win this vote because of majority, unfortunately.
