Sad that it ended up like this but anyway i would like to see new tournaments in the future.

15/08/2010 22:16:00

i enjoyed some of the match , i'd like to see some more in the future, and btw it could be good to add a news after each matchday to say what round was intersting to see

Despite the short-comings of the tournament (which every tournament has), The Extreme League was a huge success. kz enthusiasts loved watching the matches or at least following the tournament by watching demos. Its real sad that the tournament had to end that way but it was indeed an awesome effort from both chrizZo and m0ver. Hope you get over with your real life probz and come back with a tournament which overcomes all the short-comings of the previous tourney.

Pff- already knew that this would crash, just needed to keep to 8 players, so there would be np with the scripts or smthn. Or the leavers messed up the script?

15/08/2010 22:24:00

Sucks that it had to end this way, hope to see a new tournament soon! :D

15/08/2010 22:24:00

Is that all you can say flexiboi...

15/08/2010 22:38:00

I think having such leagues as this one would be as exciting as demo releases. I enjoyed following the league, it was indeed a nice alternative for wrs. Would be cool to see this kind of leagues in the future also :) Tho more preparing for the league next time

15/08/2010 22:39:00

Was definetely nice to follow the tournament while it lasted, and would love to see more tournaments in the future :-) as you said yourself chrizzo, the first league had to many people - at least one would leave, ended up being more. If you're going to try out the "new" system soon, I think should se stay at trying it with 8 users, and not the 15-16 people. It may suck for those who dosen't get into the league, but they'll have to understand that some measures needs to be taken just to get the league running. If you get the first league running with 8 people, perhaps the next league can have 16 people and so on. Just don't give up on hosting leagues on XJ, because it could really be a great addition to both the cups and the WR's.

chrizZo won :)

15/08/2010 22:44:00

I liked watching match's demos therefore I am disappoint.

15/08/2010 22:48:00

a new tournament would be great i liked the matches (not most of them of course but everyone has his own taste right?!)

15/08/2010 22:48:00

This is sad, but hey life moves on! Hopefully we'll se a new one very soon :D

15/08/2010 22:59:00

I knew it was gonna end like this, but I wish we will see more tournaments :)

15/08/2010 23:12:00

It was fun to follow it, but some of the participants were quite unserious about it. Maybe there should be maps from all genres and not only xtreme climbing =)

15/08/2010 23:12:00

enjoyed by some demos.. it was fantsic.. hope there will be another tournaments like this!

15/08/2010 23:14:00

It's sad to see it ending like this but we should all be thankful that chrizZo was trying to pull of a project like that. The most important thing to do is re-analysin the whole thing, accepting the mistakes that were made (he did that, obviously) and trying to learn from them in the future. Let's wait and see what the future is going to bring.

15/08/2010 23:24:00

Enjoy watching the demos and i want to see a new league in the future.

15/08/2010 23:24:00

Really quite sad that it turned out like this. I enjoyed following the league and i definitely think you should give it another go. It's a really good idea and alot of fun for everyone, followers and climbers. Maybe you should consider giving the climbers who will join tournaments in the future a heads-up that leaving the tournament will not go by unpunished. As faker says the most important thing is to learn from the mistakes that were made in the first tournament!

15/08/2010 23:58:00

Sad news. I was really happy heard about league finally going on and now so unhappy ending. But ok.. It would be wonderful to see more similar tournaments. Maybe not necessarily one complexity of maps but all. And it's necessary in advance to invent something like punishment for leavers.

16/08/2010 00:09:00

mhmm nice :D

16/08/2010 00:34:00

sad news :S

Depressing news for the community as a whole, as that looked like a whole new era of Live pro challenges being forced to come to a direct halt, because of a couple of mistakes from the participants side, that probably could have been avoided through the implication of some more tough/strict rules from the organizer's sides. (for example, i dunno why, but i just can't figure out a valid reason to pull the death-trigger because of memories losing account (even kayne offered him account, he should've rejoined), Koukouz was willing to join, but some participants were apparently not "cool" with him (for what reasons, God knows!), w1zz showed indifference so many times (again for some un-disclosed reasons, that we prolly would never know) Older goldies like Zocker managed to show a very very positive approach to the league, which I was so very happy to see. What shocked me was the kinda indifferent and not-so-serious attitude by the newer guys, maybe a huge chunk of the newer population would just geek hours for a wr, but they would never do it for a interesting Live pro challenge/League, which is a huge matter of concern, and puts us in a position to rethink the future of XJ - do we all care about name and fame or the love of the game still resides, somewhere deep down beneath us? [blockquote]Now it is time to ask the community: Did you enjoy watching and following the league? Do you think we should continue hosting real time tournaments in the future as an alternation to our world records? [/blockquote] To be honest, that one month of the existence of the pro League was probably one of the best months of XJ. The primary reason being the fact, that it gave a new dimension to XJ- a new thing to think about, other than to look vaguely at the newsposts sections and waiting to see a demorelease. Anyway, I feel bad for chrizZo that the League met it's premature death. If you guys are planning to start some future real time tournaments, all the best in your serious endeavors, may you succeed this time. Implement some serious/harsh rules this time, that practically completely wipes out the chances of a player quitting the League in between, and/or unavailability of a player during his matchday. It's time we look up, fix the flaws and move forward.

16/08/2010 03:21:00

I think it's clear that large and long tournaments might not lead to a successful end as people hope.

16/08/2010 06:34:00

sorry chrizzo :<

x_X This is maby the biggest fail for Xj .. Stoping this league and the live chalange kicks Kreedz back in the corner ... This was a step towords extending the limits of kreedz and all so gathering new members and becoming more popular .. People love to see live matches and real time competition the most popular played sponsored loved games all have real time play and kreedz has the potential to become loved not only by devoted jumpers but by FPS fans and gamers new to the mod...Live matches must be played becouse kz can provide great entertainment and its quite visual and interesting eaven for new commers that have no idea about the mod or the game ... There were mustakes in the tournaments rules... I belive that the admins shuld have made strickt rules with huge panelty's for the players that didnt fallow the rules or didnt complete theyr part of the agreement they made when joining the league .. In my opinion a huge chunk of todays comunity consists of geekers who have no idea of competetiv gaming .. The leaders of the comunity shuld look at other games that have established them selfs in the world of e-sports for insperation and ideas for future development ..

16/08/2010 12:02:00

This is sad. I really liked this. It was almost better than WR's.

I was happy to watch demos from zhady, akkord and chriZZo everytime matchday finishes. So it's kinda sad, that tournament was ended like this, but anyway, it was a great time. And XJ definetely needs something like this — live and unpredictable. WR's are good, but not enough. 8)

16/08/2010 15:22:00

I agree with @Scary it was nice!and really sad that is stopped

16/08/2010 15:29:00

I liked the fact that the league had only hard/extreme maps in mapcycle. I watched alot more demos during the league than usually. And I would have watched matches live from hltv if there would have been like a news post for upcoming matches (with hltv IPs).

17/08/2010 13:07:00

i watched lots of the matches and it was great to see it. it would be great to start a new tournament with only 8 players.... hope this will work fine but gj for this first try XJ
