\\r\\n\\r\\nThis week the Demo Release was quite an eventful one, marked specially by [b]shNz[/b] with as many as 10 World Records in a single release. [b]NAPZ[/b] successfully manages to mark his presence in the active recoding scene with 2 more superb runs. [b]Psy[/b] comes up with an exploring run on the newly released map, kz_kzo_deathtales. But the most significant event this week was the attempt of a comeback by [b]kunqui[/b]. Once occupying the topmost position in the kreedz records, he has remained in shadows for long. Although his demo never saw the face of light, it does give us a ray of hope that he has made up his mind to return to the active recording scene. The only sad happening this week was the submission of a cheated demo by [b]DreamX[/b]. As of now, lets take a sneak-peek into the most watchable demos this week:\\r\\n\\r\\n[b]1. sn_warehouse[/b] in [b]02:10.95[/b] by [flag]bg[/flag] [b]shNz[/b]: A spectacular demo which is sure to keep you engrossed throughout the whole run. Although it might have been faster without the vent bhop glitch at the end, it still manages to improve the previous World Record by a margin of 3 seconds. \\r\\n\\r\\n[b]2. kz_kzdk_covebhop[/b] in [b]01:48.83[/b] by [flag]bg[/flag] [b]shNz[/b]: A very popular bhop map in the kreedz world, yet un-improved for quite a long period. Reigning this map with 3 World Records in the past, [b]shNz[/b] continues to improve the timing with a flawless run. This run is a certain treat to the eye this week.\\r\\n\\r\\n[b]3. kz_kzro_deathtales[/b] in [b]05:01.47[/b] by [flag]fr[/flag] [b]Psy[/b]: A mystery to quite a lot of recorders, with secret rooms and ladders, this elusive map has finally been broken down by a smooth run, with minimum flaws. A must watch for those who want to see the secrets unveiled.\\r\\n\\r\\n[b]4. cg_lighthops[/b] in [b]02:07.34[/b] by [flag]dk[/flag] [b]NAPZ[/b]: Although improving the previous World Record by an insignificant amount of time, what makes the run worth watching is the use of a spectacular countjump shortcut in the beginning stages of this map, thereby creating a noticeable scope of improvement in the future runs in this map.\\r\\n\\r\\n[b]5. cg_coldbhop_v2[/b] in [b]00:54.92[/b] by [flag]bg[/flag] [b]shNz[/b]: With [b]koukouz[/b] turning to recording in bhop maps, it sure raised some lines in the forehead of the bhoppers of the community. But [b]shNz[/b] manages to mark his territory with this awesome flawless run in one of the most popular bhop maps of the XJ map base. A certain must-watch for all kreedz followers.\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n

[b]MOVIE REVIEWS AND PROJECTS[/b]

\\r\\n\\r\\nThis week only one one movie makes it to the XJ front page. But along with it the community saw two very commendable movies released in the "Jump Movies" Section. Besides, a number of promising new projects were formally announced, that promised to take your breath away.\\r\\n\\r\\n[b]1. n0ztic - Perfecting Perfection by[/b] [flag]dk[/flag] [b]Lazze[/b]: Being one of the most anticipated movies in the last few weeks, the movie was finally released on the front page last week. Some awesome trick-jumps in the commonly played Counter Strike maps displayed the creativity and innovation of [b]n0ztic[/b] as a trick-jumper. Amalgamated with a powerful edit, with strong colors and background music, the movie manages to establish itself as an off-track mainstream movie of the recent days.\\r\\n\\r\\n[b]2. ROTW #24 - shNz on kz_cargo[/b] by [flag]lt[/flag] [b]mmmsas[/b]: A sheer display of newcomer talent in XJ movie-making field, parades forward with yet another spectacular ROTW this week. One of the sickest runs of the last Demo Release coupled with a chilling atmosphere ad simple edit manages to win quite a lot of appreciation from the members of the community. \\r\\n\\r\\n[b]3. Take It To The Next Level[/b] by [flag]uk[/flag] [b]nikitich[/b]: A multi-starred project started with great zeal and motivation got buried under the sands of time, until [b]nikitich[/b] finally decided to come to the forefront with the scraps of the unfinished project. A mind-blowing collection of trick-jumps which really "takes it to the next level" is what you get to see in the movie. Not to mention the equally credited edit which adds to the value of the movie. \\r\\n\\r\\nA certain must watch for all movie-lovers and kz enthusiasts who want to see a whole new level of trick-jumps. RAD SEX[/b] by [flag]de[/flag] [b]k a f f e e[/b]: A short sweet movie of just 4 demos from the ground-strafe legend rad. The tricks are sure to keep you spellbound for quite a while. Vanilla - Liberation[/b] by [flag]no[/flag] [b]CamelCloud[/b]: An upcoming movie from an upcoming movie-maker is what marks the project. Although it sounds to be a project of the novice level, it isn't in reality. The work of the movie-maker is not completely unknown as he happens to be one of the much appreciated ROTW movie-makers of the former weeks. Giving n insight into the movie, the movie-maker plans to create the movie with a chilling theme. [b]MAP REVIEWS[/b]

\\r\\n\\r\\nThe map section seems to come alive week by week, which is of course very delightful. This week it is the esteemed release of [b]kz_dojo[/b]. This is the first map that was submitted via the new mapcheck system using the public open-beta forum. With countless scrutiny and subsequent modifications, the map finally managed to make it to the official map list of XJ. \\r\\n\\r\\n[flag]ro[/flag] [b]FuzZy1[/b] concentrated on a semi-long map with the textures and the ambiance reminding of the sweet essence Japanese culture. Even though the map isn't one of the longer ones, it is still very versatile. It contains both bhopping and climbing, and so it is of course a very comfortable map for any kind of climber, whether your weakness is climbing or bhopping.\\r\\n\\r\\nIt is encouraged to play this map for the very right reasons, since this is one of the most enjoyable maps seen in a while. Since kreedz is for fun, playing maps like these just brings more joy and enthusiasm whilst you're playing. As of now, all we have to do is wait for some fast and spectacular records done in this map!\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n

Why don't you introduce yourself to our clients, starving for this interview?[/i]\\r\\n \\r\\n[flag]us[/flag] [b]pizza[/b]: Hello w1zz, my name is Derek, I live in Florida and I am 20. \\r\\n\\r\\n \\r\\n[flag]ro[/flag] [b]w1zz[/b]: [i]Ok, Derek, please reveal us your kz story. When you started, who introduced you to this mod and the date of your first world record here at Xtreme-Jumps.[/i]\\r\\n \\r\\n[flag]us[/flag] [b]pizza[/b]: Alright. Well I believe I first played Kreedz in 2003 or 2004.. My memory is pretty fuzzy so I don't really remember much, besides no CP Plugin, and a few maps. I didn't play for long, as I quit CS altogether for around 4 years. I came back in 2007, but didn't pick up on Kreedz until 2008-2009. Nobody introduced me to the mod, I just randomly stumbled across it one day. I believe my first WR was on kz_halicarnassus sometime in January of this year.. but in my opinion I don't really count this as my first [b]REAL WR[/b] that I was proud of - since it was a brand new map and also I lost it the very next release. So really kz_man_halloween2004 was my first WR, but it depends how you look at it.\\r\\n\\r\\n \\r\\n[flag]ro[/flag] [b]w1zz[/b]: [i]Many guys in this community classify you as a newcomer, and keeping in mind that your first world-record came in January this year, you advanced in the rankings page pretty fast, holding a number of 16 demos at the moment. Do you aim for more?[/i]\\r\\n \\r\\n[flag]us[/flag] [b]pizza[/b]: Well, there is the Top 5 goal a lot of people strive to get. I wouldn't say I'm particularly looking to get Top 5, but if I find a map I really like I'll try to record it.. Depends if I can find another 8 or so maps I like, lol. A lot of my current WRs are maps I've played in the past when I was less experienced and only recording for Cosy-Climbing. So when I hit a new skill-level I went back to a lot of those maps and finally conquered them. I still think I'm only above-average and haven't hit pro status like some other jumpers though.\\r\\n\\r\\n \\r\\n[flag]ro[/flag] [b]w1zz[/b]: [i]So what kind of maps do you prefer?[/i]\\r\\n \\r\\n[flag]us[/flag] [b]pizza[/b]: Honestly, I don't know. I have to really like the map when I first play it, some bhop combos mixed in with fast climb. I don't like just insane bhop combos one after the other. Taking a look at my WRs they all seem really random, and also a lot of kz_ tag maps. But I think mainly the map has to have really good jumps that I enjoy doing over and over. (because you're going to be doing them alot when you record)\\r\\n\\r\\n \\r\\n[flag]ro[/flag] [b]w1zz[/b]: [i]If you were to consider someone from the Kreedz scene as your idol, who would that be?[/i]\\r\\n \\r\\n[flag]us[/flag] [b]pizza[/b]: Err, that's a hard question. There are so many good players in Kreedz it's hard to pick just one. I really love [flag]dk[/flag] [b]puppetz[/b], and his unique style. It just seems so perfect when I watch his demos, meaning like he mastered every single block to look really sweet. Hard to explain, lol. Hopefully I can get away with having more than one favorite jumper, so I'd have to say next is [flag]us[/flag] [b]brian[/b]. As do I'm sure a lot of other people, I really would like if he'd come back but I respect that real life priorities come first. Third would be [flag]de[/flag] [b]chrizZo[/b]. Actually, I like them all equally so no real order.\\r\\n \\r\\n\\r\\n[flag]ro[/flag] [b]w1zz[/b]: [i]Did you ever try beating a map but without any success and eventually gave up?[/i]\\r\\n \\r\\n[flag]us[/flag] [b]pizza[/b]: If I take the time to completely learn a map - every combo and jump, I will make sure to beat it. Sometimes I will give up temporary but someday I'll go try the map randomly. There are some maps I've tried for a while, but can't complete due to bad luck or skill.I came close to giving up on bkz_forestrace due to really bad luck, failing at the very last combo multiple times but I finally did it.\\r\\n\\r\\n \\r\\n[flag]ro[/flag] [b]w1zz[/b]: [i]Do you like the competition you get when someone beats your record and you beat them back? Does it give you more satisfaction than when you beat a map without getting a reply from the other jumper?[/i]\\r\\n \\r\\n[flag]us[/flag] [b]pizza[/b]: Well of course I enjoy the competition or I wouldn't be playing. As you can see on kz_kzno_travel, [flag]cn[/flag] [b]sKiCg[/b] and I got the map from 4:01 to 3:48. He currently holds the record and I have tried to get it back. It's a good test to your skill when you have to keep improving your own personal best to match up with the other players. Of course I'm not happy when I lose a WR, given the amount of time it took but I welcome the competition. But if someone like [flag]be[/flag] [b]koukouz[/b] challenged me (which he has) I'm not on his skill level so there's a certain limit I can't cross yet.\\r\\n \\r\\n\\r\\n[flag]ro[/flag] [b]w1zz[/b]: [i]Kreedz is fun for you now, but for how long will it last? Do you think of quitting CS anytime soon, again?[/i]\\r\\n \\r\\n[flag]us[/flag] [b]pizza[/b]: It has already grown a little mundane for me, and I find myself playing 10aa block HnS (suck it eurostyle) or only recording for Cosy-Climbing. This could be due to the lack of new maps here on XJ, and I really hope you guys start actively adding some more soon. Of course I don't know what goes on behind the scenes and for all we know they could be planning a giant map release soon. (hopefully with some popular unofficial maps, or just new speed climb maps) Yes I could see myself quitting altogether again someday but at the moment no.\\r\\n \\r\\n\\r\\n[flag]ro[/flag] [b]w1zz[/b]: [i]Where do you see Xtreme-Jumps in the next couple of years?[/i]\\r\\n \\r\\n[flag]us[/flag] [b]pizza[/b]: I could see kz_phoogi still having the same time on it as now, because that map is so god damn awful to record. Naw, just kidding but really I don't know. Time will only tell, but it could be interesting. I really hope for some kind of stable league that doesn't die in a month. It's just going to be extremely weird, seeing how the WR times change and the new people recording. Oldschool players could make sick comebacks, current recorders could get insanely better.
