[b]DEMO REVIEWS[/b]

\\r\\n\\r\\nThis week featured a single demo release, in which 16 records were broken. [b]shNz[/b] once again beats a lot of records (which, in part, and I admit, delayed the release a little bit, since I wanted to release every possible demo I could), and [b]koukouz[/b], also once again, beats his beloved hard/extreme maps. Two jumpers, [b]7D[/b] and [b]kunqui[/b], made their come backs (hope not just guest appearances) this week as well. Also beating interesting demos are [b]pizza^[/b] and [b]novice[/b]. So, with no further yada-yada, the demo reviews of the interesting demos this week are:\\r\\n\\r\\n[b]1. kzro_dahnajourney[/b] in [b]07:45.36[/b] by [flag]be[/flag] [b]koukouz[/b]: In an extreme, precise, yet a little flawed run, [b]koukouz[/b] once again beats this extreme map with a lot of technique and attention. It is worth watching for those who like extreme maps and, of course, are prepared to see the failed jumps beating a record like this almost always requires.\\r\\n\\r\\n[b]2. kz_kzsca_mineblock[/b] in [b]11:55.58[/b] by [flag]be[/flag] [b]koukouz[/b]: Perhaps the most interesting demo to watch this week, [b]koukouz[/b] does an amazing yet weird run in this long, technique map. What mostly brings our attention is how some apparently "easy" places were mistaken, whilst known "hard" places were done with ease.\\r\\n\\r\\n[b]3. kz_jumprun[/b] in [b]00:49.10[/b] by [flag]bg[/flag] [b]shNz[/b]: Strongly marked by [b]shNz[/b]'s fast, precise and seemingly nervous strafes, he manages to beat his own previous record by over two seconds, in a must-see for anyone into the various styles of jumping.\\r\\n\\r\\n[b]4. kz_darkness[/b] in [b]01:55.27[/b] by [flag]ar[/flag] [b]kunqui[/b]: After the polemic demo taken from [b]kunqui[/b] a few releases ago, he finally marks his return to the jumping scene as he beats back this map in a fast yet contained run.\\r\\n\\r\\n[b]5. kz_kzdk_templebhop_h[/b] in [b]07:06.80[/b] by [flag]be[/flag] [b]koukouz[/b]: In a quick, full of adrenaline run, [b]koukouz[/b] manages to beat this amazing, precision map by almost over a minute.\\r\\n\\r\\n[b]6. kz_cg_rivacliff[/b] in [b]01:51.60[/b] by [flag]bg[/flag] [b]shNz[/b]: A very interesting and precise demo by [b]shNz[/b]. Although an unusual reason to watch a demo, his attention to the gameplay is most likely the most interesting point in this particular record, definitely a must-watch.\\r\\n\\r\\n[b]7. risk_sector[/b] in [b]01:08.94[/b] by [flag]us[/flag] [b]pizza^[/b]: A clever demo from [b]pizza^[/b], in which he uses his gun to gain little but useful time in each section, combined with a useful shortcut, making this demo fun to watch.\\r\\n\\r\\n[b]8. kz_dojo[/b] in 0[b]5:15.34[/b] by [flag]tw[/flag] [b]7D[/b] : [b]7D[/b] once again comes back to mark his territory in the fun, medium-to-large maps. The longjump performed at the end is probably the strongest part of the demo, where it becomes noticeable that he was "a bit" nervous when he recorded it.\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n

[b]MOVIE REVIEWS AND PROJECTS[/b]

\\r\\n\\r\\nNo major breath-taking front page movies were released this week, although the "Jump Movies" forum, was quite full of activity and enthusiasm. Along with the ROTW, the following movies from the forum managed to grab some attention of the masses:\\r\\n\\r\\n[b]1. ROTW #26 - shNz on kz_dbh_pipehop[/b] by [flag]fr[/flag] [b]ndR[/b]: This week a superb run is beautifully portrayed by a simple edited movie with an upbeat, easy-going background score. Starting with a short, slow-motioned campath intro, the movie proceeds to highlight the essence of the awesome run. And as expected from [b]ndR[/b], following a regular trend in all his movies, this movie is also marked with a fantastic picture quality. \\r\\n\\r\\n[b]2.[/b] [b]bambiq did some jumps.. [/b] by [flag]ma[/flag] [b]zgooh[/b]: A mini-movie featuring hard trick-jumps in the common maps. The talented Russian (old)school kreedzer, [flag]ru[/flag] [b]bambiq[/b] is featured in this short and sweet mini-movie with an uncanny background music. \\r\\n\\r\\n[b]3. Unity It Power[/b] by [flag]pl[/flag] [b]LSD[/b]: A Polish multi-starred project, that was under work by the quite well-known Polish movie-maker, [b]LSD[/b], was finally released this week. Trick-jumps performed in the regular counter strike maps were decently highlighted with a smooth, easy-going edit. The movie features six trick-jumpers [b]crytex[/b], [b]Liquid[/b], [b]LSD[/b], [b]Morys[/b], [b]NHZ[/b] and [b]RayFun[/b].\\r\\n\\r\\n[b]4. [flag]pl[/flag] LSD - Beautiful by [flag]fi[/flag] gizpo[/b]: The title of the movie describes the atmosphere by quite a lot. The Polish jumper [b]LSD[/b], who was previously mentioned as a quite well-known movie-maker, can now also be tagged with the title well-known trick-jumper. The movie features some "quite hard" jumps on standard cs maps. The only thing you wish after watching this movie, is that it was any longer..\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n

First of all, please introduce yourself in case people don't know you very well.[/i]\\r\\n\\r\\n[flag]us[/flag] [b]pLaguE[/b]: Well I'm pLaguE...obviously! My real name is Ryan and I live in the United States (the most awesome place in the world) I've been around XJ for a decently long time now, I think most people should know me :). I also love pizza^!\\r\\n\\r\\n[flag]fi[/flag] [b]2006[/b]: [i]Your era as an admin at XJ didn't last very long, what happened?[/i]\\r\\n\\r\\n[flag]us[/flag] [b]pLaguE[/b]: There are many reasons why I chose to leave the admin staff (some shouldn't be mentioned due to the fact that some aren't really necessary for the community to know about). A major reason, is that I'm starting to do online courses for Vet school, and I start actual Vet School in February. So I want to focus more on the real life perspective of it and try to keep my focus on school rather than online activities. Another one would be that, I was criticized greatly for nothing serious, but people taking it the wrong way. Your job as an Admin at XJ, is to follow the guidelines of what an admin should do and follow those rules. But many of the members had problems and there really shouldn't have been any. People got mad over me closing threads (that should have been closed because of either spam/flamewars/etc..) but many people just couldn't quite get the grasp of what I was doing.\\r\\n\\r\\n[flag]fi[/flag] [b]2006[/b]: [i]There have been a lot of discussion about the incident in the weekly crew, could you please give us an insight of what really happened there?[/i]\\r\\n\\r\\n[flag]us[/flag] [b]pLaguE[/b]: I don't really see what there is to discuss here, A3T!U$ just didn't think that I was good to work with, because of how I worked with others. He also said that I chose to the leave the Weekly staff, which is completely false and was blown out of proportions by many members, including A3T!U$ himself. \\r\\n\\r\\n[flag]fi[/flag] [b]2006[/b]: [i]Also, about the incidents with A3T!U$, why did they happen? Why did you two not get along well together?[/i]\\r\\n\\r\\n[flag]us[/flag] [b]pLaguE[/b]: It was more on the line of not communicating well with each other, and he got sidetracked and tried to bash me after I left the XJ staff. He has yet to come up to me and apologize or say anything what so ever, and this also leads to what you said above (why I left the XJ staff) this is and should be for anybody (smart) to consider/actually leaving the staff. I was never told why he didn't like me, I was never told by anyone that he disagreed with what I did, I was never told that he kicked me out of the weekly staff, until one bright and beautiful day, I get a message from someone, that I was kicked out of the staff. This by all means is completely disrespectful for him not to come up to me and tell me what he didn't like about me, and tell me what we could do to make it better. I was dumbfounded, I never thought someone like A3T!U$ would actually do something like this, but I guess I was wrong. I expected him to come up to me and talk to me, but what happens....nothing happens.
