Hey guys,

welcome to the 29th edition of Run Of The Week.

As you might have read in the previous newsposts, we decided to give a few moviemakers within XJ the chance to submit their clips as a ROTW and promote them on our front page. This week you'll be able to see koukouz's awesome run on kzno_xtremeblock through the artistic eyes of CamelCloud.

Sorry for the delay, but CamelCloud faced several problems and submitted the ROTW too late.

Don't really like this edit, gotta be honest there. The vignette is disturbing for my eyes. Then again when it comes to run videos i prefer a very minimalistic edit. Gj

Not only is this one of the best runs ever, but I got one thing to say. When this map gets beaten, everyone will realise that KKZ wont last forever. KKZ is the king of KZ.

We see so many decent kz movies spoiled these days by their unfitting choice of music/song (not gonna name them, you already know), plus it's the MM'S choice, so please leave it. But the point of concern is... Whatever you do or make, make the "ease of visualization" your primary factor. I am sorry to say this but, all the borders and stuff spoiled a legendary run like that :(

CamelCloud, how can you say they are barely visible? Those borders are VERY WELL visible! And like others, I really didn´t liked it at all! Imo, it would have been better if you did the run with the colors and the in-game sound when KKZ it´s the finish timer. As for the run...well....it´s KKZ, do I even have to comment about how awsome it was? :P

the edit was nice,chilling but the in-game sound is audible only @ end. dunno if was a fail or made in purpose but i dont see the reason of doing that.

I think niki's comment "Run is speeded up" pretty much sums up the awesomeness of koukouz' run. Edit is isn't that good, but not bad either so I'm personally OK with the result.

no pizza :) , i am just saying this one is far far far from the best, and my wr on nz_playstation was done in first try, just so you know :) how can this map be improved with 3-4 seconds ? why should i tell you ? ok, i`ll tell you, 1-2 seconds can be improved if you jump (at the end of the map), from the lower block, strafe to the left, and keep bhopping, that way you dont loose speed before you start the bhop = 1-2 seconds gained. i didn`t enter cs in 1 month but here i made a demo so you can see the difference http://www.sendspace.com/file/3v3ha5 ( you might say it`s only 1 second, but it`s not ) how can you improve more? BE FAST. you can improve more, only by being faster. kkz did spend some unnecessary time on some blocks . i said this map will eventually be 1:51-1:52 2 years ago shock you dont know anything about kz, trust me. "best run ever" LOL

CoMMoN, sure, in theory almost every kz map can be beaten by some decent time, but hey, there aren't any robots/aliens in here, I guess? Talking about spending less time on block is a bit inappropriate, cuz koukouz already did "non-stop run" and I don't think this record "can be beaten easily by 3-4 seconds" lol. But yes he lost one bhop, still it doesn't make the run easy to beat. And you are not that guy guy to tell me I know nothing about kz. Leave your opinion to yourself, I'm not gonna answer to your troll anymore.

i`m saying he could`ve done more, and i really dont care if he is fast, because he got there by geeking, and every one in the whole wide world can be good at something if he geeks it. he is nothing special, he chooses to spend his life on a pc jumping in a video game, and no, i have nothing personal with him, and i dont care if you think i am. i dont care what he does, but he is not skilled, cause he got there by geeking. skill is not playing at all, then coming in after 1 year and still being great, not geeking 24/7 and finally coming up with a record, thats pathetic and sad i have nothing more to say to all the fanboys and people who think kz = geeking, you ruined it. you spoiled it. kz was about playing with friends and having fun 5-6 years ago, nowadays you think it is about geeking 24/7 and beating each other while doing so. I have to agree with CoMMoN only because of the idea that kkz = geeker . but, btw : he WAS a geeker 24/7 , now he isnt. And what about the run? I wont say that it is imposs to beat it(may be in 2 years it will be beaten) , but : be seriously , none can beat it , at least at the moment.

Best run ever on xtremeblock with no doubt, koukouz. Couple words about perfection... Well, every run can be beaten unless it's performed by script. There are NO unbeatable runs at XJ and will never be (thanks to "new" decimal system). Really sweet edit, CamelCloud. I see many people trying to get you down... Don't listen. Tastes differ. And if you don't suit this community taste doesn't mean you don't have one. And I assert that you do have the flair. The whole edit looks finished and well done. Classy music. The one thing I would do the picture a bit brighter. I think it's the most common drawback in runs editing - dark picture. And probably vignetting is too strong, should be semitransparent in my taste. But it's ok. Well done. Keep editing.

scary i just told you where he can gain 1-2 seconds in my previous comment, and why dont you watch closely before making a statement, he did fail some parts, and he didn`t even do a bhop to gain 0.9 sec before the last lj :)

I already have checked it out a couple of times and speaking of his micro, there's not really any player who can improve that. Anyways I don't think you are right that he can gain 1-2 seconds by not getting the slowdown, TOPS 0.5 sec. Besides that, I don't really see major improvements maybe a bhop or two. But that doesn't give 3-4 secs. time will tell.

instead of saying "time will tell" try thinking a little. that slowdown avoid, is 1 second ( 0.5 seconds TOPS ? are you kidding me ? watch it closely .. jesus .. AT LEAST 1 second ) + he missed 1 bhop that is 1 second + he chose to jump and do a double duck ( thus getting another slowdown ) instead of doubleduck+doubleduck ( which is faster, and avoids the slowdown ! ) ( after the box jump, on that mini-skinny lj ) = 1 second + other subtle little time wastes, where he could`ve jumped faster but he was slow = 3-4 seconds, and there is more .. you are just too blind to see it. it seems all you fanboys have lost your sense of mind, you simply dont think anymore and you doubt all posibilities of improvements because you cant honestly believe that anyone can beat your god ( madness right ? ) sadly for you though, there were plenty of others who believed there is no possible way to improve along the history of kreedz on several maps, and they were all WHAT ? that`s it, wrong.

he isn`t dominating anything, most of the guys just quited, there are like 10 not active - semi-active jumpers, and thats it, he is the only one playing 24/7, thus he is first, some people are smart enough not to waste a part of their life for nothing though, so he doesnt have anyone to compete with, that makes him the winning looser i for one know that if i spend 4-5 hours on xtremeblock right now today and tomorrow, i can manage the 1:52, but honestly, why should i waste my time ? does wasting time make any sense ? time is priceless for gods sake
