Demo Talk #2

By Vee mapper VIP·
Good morning, jumpers!

As part of our plan to make Xtreme-Jumps, amongst other things, a more organized community, I am here once again to give you another insight on our current demo system, how it looked like last year and how it will look like in one of our many makeovers for this year. I will also try to shed some light over subjects that often sparkle the curiosity of many.

If you are interested in knowing more, please keep reading!

553 releases... hmmm and how many demos ? Edit by Vee: Edited with the information you requested. Thanks for the suggestion.

13/01/2011 17:17:00

great work :)

13/01/2011 17:55:00

nice work Vee but it would be nice if you do lj release once in every 2 months

13/01/2011 18:04:00

Great work - enjoyed reading it. I'd would be interesting to know how many demos, that has been released, like kyser says. Edit by Vee: Thank you. You can now see the amount of demos.

Maybe I didn't read well, I read the post pretty fast, but why don't you do it like this. The demo that will be ROTW won't appear in the actually release, but appear in the news post with the ROTW, when it comes out ? Edit by Vee: It's simple. We would have to hold every "possible" demo back in order to release if with the ROTW. If we delay some demos, players might lose their records or get angry because they were not released.

13/01/2011 23:06:00

awesome that with demos realse :P

13/01/2011 23:32:00

Yeah it's true, I though the ROTW is decided before the demo release ... PS: I've just read my message, thanks god you understood what i wrote, my grammar failed once at 5 words :D

14/01/2011 07:48:00

Just curious, which admin(s) r chosing the demos for ROTW? Great news by the way, enjoyed reading it.. Edit by Vee: Every admin with rights to view our private forum (not every admin in the website) qualifies to vote for the ROTW. I'm glad you liked it!

14/01/2011 10:16:00

@ kyser, it reads right there: "In average, we have seen around 92 demo releases per year, 7 per month and approximately 2 per week, distributing 5840 demos, a total of around 10 demos per release!" So that's 5840 demos from 553 demo releases. And that's 10,5 demos per release. Huge tbh:S Edit by Vee: As you can see in my reply to [flag]ar[/flag] kyser, his suggestion is the reason for adding the amount of demos, as that information was not there before.

good work for the details :D

14/01/2011 15:28:00
