\\r\\n\\r\\nThe past week saw the release of 15 new World Records, mostly consisting of the new maps released over the past few weeks. The battle between [b]gizpo_O[/b] and [b]Chasquido[/b] continues in the speed-climb maps with [b]gizpo_O[/b] snatching 2 World Records from his competitor this week. Whilst the plot thickens between the two, lets take a look into the most watchable demos of this week:\\r\\n\\r\\n[b]1. qsk_azure[/b] done in [b][timer]7273|52:52.26[/timer][/b] by [flag]be[/flag] [b]koukouz[/b]: Termed as the most difficult map ever, one hardly thought it would be owned without the use of checkpoints. But living upto the expectation of being one of the best kreedzers ever, [b]koukouz[/b] goes ahead to accept the challenge. \\r\\n\\r\\nAn awesome display of patience, consistency coupled with spectacular double-ducks and sleek turns, makes this particular run one of the most watchable runs of the week.\\r\\n\\r\\nHowever, the only downside is perhaps the length of the demo. Owing to the difficulty level of the map, the number of fails in the run is quite large. Apart from that, some parts of the map could have been done with easier techniques which could have brought down the number of fails to a minimum. Nonetheless, this run is predicted to stay on top for quite some time.\\r\\n\\r\\n[b]2. stf_creepytemple[/b] done in [b][timer]7275|01:47.06[/timer][/b] by [flag]pl[/flag] [b]kropeq[/b]: A speed map released recently, gets its first World Record in the form of a superb run.\\r\\n\\r\\nThe non-stop bhop combos and the gutsy, brave shortcut taken in the midst of the run are a certain must watch. The risky shortcut done with a count-jump is in true sense Wicked -Sick, saving him a few precious seconds along the course of the run.\\r\\n\\r\\nAlthough the scope of improvement in this particular run is very narrow, but with the application of a few ground-strafes in between the run, a few milli-seconds might be gained. Apart from that. this run is predicted to be one of the best first World Record runs in a new map.\\r\\n\\r\\n[b]3. kzsca_watertemple[/b] done in [b][timer]7279|02:25.87[/timer][/b] by [flag]ar[/flag] [b]kunqui[/b]: Another new map in the official map pack, released recently, gets it first World Record run this week.\\r\\n\\r\\nThe bhop-combos in the run apparently seemed never-ending making it a delight to the viewers. Calm and composed strafes remarkably enables him to pass through both the bhop blocks and also the climb parts. An absolute must-watch run of the week.\\r\\n\\r\\nHowever, there was a small fail in the non-stop flow of the run in an early stage where [b]kunqui[/b] comes to an unexpected halt in between his spectacular bhops. Apart from capitalizing on this part, apparently the run looks perfect enough. And just like the aforementioned run, this one is also expected to stay on the World Record list for quite a while. \\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n

[b]MOVIE REVIEWS[/b]

[link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NT9xIX3NLo]Spring York[/link][/b] by [flag]bg[/flag] [b]IceVip[/b]: Continuing with the "York" obsession, [b]IceVip [/b]released his second movie of the series this week on the XJ front page. Almost double the length of his previous movie, this movie has truly showcased the editing skill of this talented new movie-maker. \\r\\n\\r\\nThe tricks in the movie range from easy to average, although most of them are innovative. However, this turned out to be the important factor of enjoyment for the featured jumps. Not to mention the breath-taking shot at the very beginning of the movie :P\\r\\n\\r\\nBut this movie is more about edit than the tricks. A racy style amalgamated with a funky element makes the edit stand out of the normal crowd. Quite opposite to the expectations that this movie would be another "carbon-copy" of the classic [b]level2[/b] funky movies, [b]IceVip[/b] manages to create a funky style of his own. A perfect background score selection, awesome sync with the music, colors, campths, there is no sector which has been left overlooked.\\r\\n\\r\\nA fabulous movie to start the new year with and certainly a movie to be kept in your personal movie collection.\\r\\n\\r\\n[b]2. [link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5Qabg32Kj4]Not Alone - A KZ "Montaque"[/link][/b] by [flag]se[/flag] [b]n00[gg]EeRr [/b]: One of the best mini-movies released in a long time in the forums. The movie features the movie-maker himself presenting some old but hard jumps, a few new ones and some 2-man combos as well. \\r\\n\\r\\nThe edit has been characterized by apt colors and superb, fast-paced music. The only thing that might have been better is if there were better campaths used for the 2-man combos. But all in all, the best 2 minutes you could have spent watching a mini-movie.\\r\\n\\r\\n[b]3. [link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9h14TbcYbI]alex - chillin'[/link][/b] by [flag]se[/flag] [b]chip[/b]: A short movie featuring [b]Simen.alex[/b] who presents some pretty good looking trick-jumps. Extensive bhop-combos with dd's in between them are a pure delight to watch. [b]chip[/b] comes up with a decent edit to compliment the trick-jumps and stick to the "chill" theme at the same time. Apt background score and a clean edit are the highlights of the movie.\\r\\n\\r\\nThe only scope of improvement could be a marked intro and an outro. Also a little more work could have been done with the campaths and colors as well. Nevertheless, overall it has been appreciated by the masses and it certainly stands as an outstanding movie of the forums.\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n

But people always seem to whine about "not another lj movie" whenever they see a longjump movie being released and term it as "boring". I was banned on XJ too but I got unbanned. The music had a slow and calm effect that seemed to be a common trait of this age of movies.\\r\\n\\r\\nWith the advent of newer techniques, better encoding, improved software's, new age editing and a whole researched dimension of campath processing, moviemaking had taken a great leap in the years of 2009 and â€™10. We witnessed a lot of varying genre of interesting and intriguing materials, handcrafted with patience as the viewers had their share of enjoyment with a varied materials like climax cave, breaking boundries, geddyK a dream, Ability, lolz I remember, sambb flying steps, brian the movie 3. Each one of this was a class in itself, an episode underlying beneath- that unfolded as you went through them. Come 2010, the age of â€œconcept moviesâ€ came into being and materials like noir york was released; that raised the same question among one and all viewers â€“ â€œIs this how the future movies should be?â€ The map theme, the landmarks, the architectural aspects and the darkened atmosphere that leaves the viewers in a state of awe â€“ â€œWhat would the next thing be?â€ Even we would love to know that, so we aspire for some more of that material.\\r\\n\\r\\nThe later parts of 2010 was a visual delight and a cinematic extravaganza for the viewers where we were exposed to cut throat clarity, improved smoothened campaths and great new improved trickjumps were all being presented into one in the works of ndR and IceVip as some of their latest releases.
