ROTW #93 - Gene on kzno_xtremeblock

Hello there, and welcome to the 93rd edition of the Run Of The Week!

There's a new fish in town.

... and it's taking his competition down one by one. But for the love of God, how else to crown yourself as the new 'rule maker'? We have to admin that this 'kid' has some boiling hot blood going through his veins to take down such a masterpiece former world record. And this actually goes beyond taking a WR. Do I have to remind you all what history lays behind this map? kzno_xtremeblock is one of those few maps where you can prove that you're the man!

I have to say that this guy is Geneous!!!

And let's give a warm 'GOOD JOB' to the guest we all like: Perdo!
My soul is pleased that what could turn out to be a legendary run was transformed into motion picture by this glad. He just doesn't miss his target.

First, really good edit, enjoyable! And of course, great run, but if some admin could answer me would be great. In KZ Scene are so many moviemakers, so many guys, who want to edit one ROTW to XJ, and XJ just ask everytime the sames guys, nothing agaisnt Perdo, I really like his ROTW's but I think XJ should ask more moviemakers, sometime ago I really wanted to do 1 or 2 but I never made one, so nowadays I just don't give a shit, if XJ ask me I will do it but if XJ doesn't ask me to edit, I really don't care but there are moviemakers who really want to edit ROTW's for XJ and XJ just don't give a shit about them, and I'm getting tired of these ROTW's because the moviemakers are almost the same everytime which means, same colors, same musics, same intro and outro, that's boring, if you don't want to invite new moviemakers to edit, tell you ROTW makers to edit different edits every ROTW, to be honest, I really like this one. No hating, just giving my opinion, once again, [b]good job both of you![/b]

@zythH^ XJ doesn't ask moviemakers. Moviemakers ask XJ. Airwalk Media is taking care of ROTWs and media part for XJ, so these guest features happen from time to time, not on a daily basis. When this happens, we like to work with moviemakers who we previously worked with, the ones we know that can deliver. After all, ROTWs for XJ are a big deal. However, I'm not against using new guest features, but only after that moviemaker expresses his desire to make one and after we are sure he can deliver. Different edits for each ROTW? First of all, ROTW are not made to show the moviemaker's skill. It's about THE RUN. Then, if you're referring to colors, music and other factors like these, each moviemaker has his own style and I can't ask them to change that style every week. These factors depend on map/run. They use whatever style they think it fits. If you're talking about the structure of presenting the ROTW, this kind of news is a presentation type, being announced on a weekly basis, and from my newswriting experience, these type of news must have a specific pattern, the point of it being the actual thing you are presenting. So please allow me to make a humble remark: if you're betting bored, it's not because of the video, it's because you got bored of KZ. Respect,

@CyclopP I asked XJ millions of times to do a ROTW, not you but I asked moviemaking admins, they told me talk to CyclopP but I always heard you would decline so I never tried so I was kinda afraid but who cares. I am not bored of KZ, you see, you can change colors, and I can prove that and rusty is a great e.g what I am talking about, ndR too, whatever, they can use dnb, pop, rock or whatever they want, and I always enjoy their Run edits because it is a new style every single edit of the Run. I understand, ROTW is to show the Run, but what is the point if it is to show the run, don't edit it, fraps, vegas, and it's done, right? I know it isn't to show moviemaker skills but we all enjoy a good music and a good color to watch the run. I'm not asking to do one, just asking to do a bit different, sometime ago every ROTW's from every communitys had dubstep or dnb, that is boring to hear always the samething isnt it? My point is not to ask always new guys, or new guys asking you, my point is, to change just a little bit songs, etc. I don't want ROTW's world mainstreamed, work more on it, just don't some random music, same colors as 5 years ago and it's done... I hope you understand what I'm talking about, I'm not mad, I'm just giving my opinion about ROTW's. Once again, I'm not tired of KZ, I usually play and I have fun with it so, it's not KZ, I can promise that. Respect too.

You should have asked me, no matter what people are talking. This is their thing, to talk... There are always two sides of a story. And I assure you, I'm harmless :D And I get what you're saying. Totaly with you on this one. Good colors, good music, fps, resolution, avoiding the mainstream and probably altering a bit the overall structure, are things that should definitely be taken into account. It's like a make-up. A good one, performed with taste, will definitely boost the looks. Different and balanced was always my motto. Thanks for your words. We could definitely benefit from them. And if you want to do a guest feature, send me a PM here on XJ with some movies/runs that you did. I will look into them. Thank you.
