Militia 2009 - The lost demos
It all started back in 2008, Goretex/Fantasm found his way into the KZ-scene. One year later, in 2009, he was really into trick-jumps. He was still learning but the interest was still there, watching movies and trying them himself. By that time he was already friends with a few of the "pro-players"; brian, Flibo, ajR`. So one day he decided to come up with some jumps he wanted to know if possible. So these people attempted to make them reality. Most of the jumps he came up with; people did. So they all sent him demos of the trick-jumps for him to make a movie, but the demos stayed untouched on his computer for years.
Until one day he met a new friend from Sweden; APE. He was a somewhat talented player and movie-maker from Scandinavia. Somehow Fantasm mentioned the trick-jumps, and APE told him he could do a trick-jump-video. After seeing some of his works, he realized it was quite good, and decided to send him the demos. The jumpers them-selfs is not named during the tricks, but that is the way he originally wanted it back in 2009.
At this time Fantasm was still learning how to climb properly, still quite bad, not at all good compared to the pros. When these guys weren't only jumping WITH him, but FOR him, he was honored to see them do that. At some point he was worried the jumps he came up with was too easy for them. But they just ended up using heavier weapons. Some of the jumps I'm amazed they did even with knife. For example one of these guys weren't able to do the canyon wall to rock jump, so he simply passed it over to another player which landed it, after a while. It was great seeing someone with actual talent doing the jumps you tried to do. It's simply just a shame they didn't come out sooner than they did. Being they're almost 3 years old, but simply take a seat and enjoy these vintage demos from the past.
APE, the creator, or well; creative designer of the project. Said that it was a pleasure to edit something with people this famous involved, makes him feel immortal. But at the same time he didn't feel any responsibility to make it look good with the involved names. The outcome wasn't much to really think about, he simply tried to make his best and to somewhat make it different from others, and he think he simply did a decent job.
In my personal opinion old demos with people like brian, Flibo, ajR` is always appreciated.
