KZMod Promo and Q&A
Hey guys,
since the last time I wrote about KZmod, there have been several major changes that you might want to now consider when you think about downloading the upcoming final release with version 1.0.
The first important thing is that you do NOT have to buy a Valve Source game anymore in order to be able to play KZmod, these days. All you need to do is download and run the Source SDK Base 2006 engine version, which is free. If you want to map for the game you would need the Source SDK.
Secondly, the developers were able to simulate CS 1.6 movement with the Source engine to 99,9% accuracy. They are actually the first ones to EVER achieve that - even though many people have tried before them.
Other than that, there are really great maps that bring back a lot of the old school Kreedz experience and also give you new fantastic worlds to explore. Not only “eye candyâ€, but definitely great architecture and jumps to experience for yourself too. A few pictures can say more than a thousand words, so see for yourself:
Furthermore, there are lots of other great features and new disciplines waiting for you such as:
Regular jump courses, regular bhop courses and bhop mode courses (similar to AXN) , longjump maps, bungee maps, surf maps, slide maps, death trap courses and maps, normal and bhop raceway (sliderace) courses, double-duck courses where it’s not possible to even jump. If that's not enough you can try more exotic things like flare/aim courses, 2-3 man coop maps with real multiplayer timers and powerjumps courses - or try Tag Arena, which is basically an inbuilt Hide and seek in Deathmatch style with many more features than plain 1.6 H'n'S.
With these facts, I know some of you might be pretty interested and can't wait to test out the final version of KZmod (again). As we speak, final tests are being made, so I need to ask for a little bit more patience... but not much, because 21.12.2012 will be an epic day, as the possible future of KZ is going to be released to the public and everyone is able to play and test for himself.
Furthermore, here is the official promotion video to give you an impression of what is waiting for you:
Questions & Answers:
In the meantime, everyone is welcome to start asking questions about the mod and SoUlFaThEr, the Executive Producer, and Raptor, the Lead Programmer behind KZmod, are going to do their best to answer your questions and help to enlighten you.
Common questions and their answers are listed in the extended newspost. If you have further questions, please don't hesitate and ask them in the comments!
