THE 100th ROTW!
Hello there, and welcome to the special 100th edition of the Run Of The Week!
A celebrating ROTW.
What did you think will happen next? Damn, I waited for this for a very loooong time.
So yeah, we did it. We reached the 100th edition of one of the most popular editions ever here on Xtreme-Jumps.eu.
And to celebrate all the action that happened from ROTW #1 to ROTW #99 we thought to break out of the ordinary for a little bit and make something special in the honor of what the ROTW grew up to be.
Let's have a look back and see some of the greatest moments we witnessed together during those times:
It started with moviemaking.fr who initiated this series and later on adopted by Xtreme-Jumps.eu, with mm.fr handling the media part. They made 21 ROTWs and one day the partnership ended. After that, Airwalk-Media took over and has been handling the job since then. They made 46 ROTWs and still counting. Hopefully one day, it will be a celebrating day for them, reaching their own 100th ROTW. In the meantime, guest features happened as well. Independent moviemakers or with their own crew, made 34 ROTWs.
At the moment, summing up all ROTWs, we have 576.388 youtube views and 186.349 own3d.tv views.
The conquering leader of the most ROTWs is novice with 10 ROTWs, followed by
Chasquido with 8 and kayne, KeltA and shNz each with 7.
And of course, some of them were the most acclaimed players as well: Chasquido ROTW #47 - Chasquido on kz_cliffez, kayne ROTW #77 - kayne on kz_xj_mountez, novice ROTW #60 - novice on kz_christmas, shNz ROTW #98 - shNz on kz_crs_iceclimb and zhady ROTW #61 - zhady on kz_man_owtcity.
But what about the most acclaimed moviemakers?
The style part definitely goes to rusty with videos like ROTW #63 - novice on kz_adventure.
And then KyU.K wins at implementing new ideas into the scene. He always wanted to come up with something new in his videos, showing that a new style of editing is indeed possible. ROTW #72 - kayne on kz_cargo.
dynamiteN, for the "out of the ordinary" title, who always wants to make something totally different than the last time. ROTW #98 - shNz on kz_crs_iceclimb.
And for the smooth part, we have BLuex ROTW #45 - Chasquido on kz_sola, Hitlooser ROTW #67 - omilo on kz_nbs_greatwall and Jason ROTW #69 - novice on kz_kzse_aztectemple.
Let's not forget about guest features. ndR with his unmatchable style ROTW #90 - Gene on kz_cg_extreme and Perdo with a video that got the most views on youtube ROTW #61 - zhady on kz_man_owtcity.
And last but surely not least, we did have a surprise as well, right? "The legendary appereance on two consecutive ROTWs by a legendary player" title goes to Micron ROTW #52 - Micron on kz_tropiclimb_b01 and ROTW #53 - Micron on kz_tropiclimb_x.
And now, the moment you all have been waiting for...
One demo was chosen, a demo who we thought is representative for the milestone we just passed. Many of you guys said that this demo could easily be Run of the Year, and not of the week. Well, now it's not the time to crown ROTY, but a time to honor the past. So, congratulations to shNz and mulder, you teamed up very well as you can see. Your video is in the spotlight again!
