Welcome to the 8th edition of Community update.

In this CU I decided to change the way of demo reviews and instead of my point of view, I asked the WR holders to share their perspective about their own runs.

Pay a close attention to the movies guys, they are unbelievable!

PU9 was really nice but I am a quite dissapointed you don't focus a lot in moviemaking part, I am sad you "ignore" quite great moviemakers out there and only notice the same guys all day long, take this as construtive critic, not like a hater, try to improve that part and search a bit more, if you can =D the rest was really nice tho! Great job everyone

Excellent.Liked the idea of first person speech about those demos.Pretty nice rumours and players involved there.Interesting speech in the end and even though im not a moviemaker and have no ideea about that i tend to agree with zythH but to be honest i skip sometimes the movie parts

Is LyNn a cheater?Yes he is.Do the random noob fanboy defenders feel stupid right now?Yes they do.I told you,don't talk crap until you know how hard it is to do those stats/times,which LyNn did.You can always bypass a cheat detector and whatnot,but you can't bypass the suspicions of all those good kz/lj players who actually worked their asses to get here,and who know how hard things actually are. I disagree too. We have already had a couple of guys to show us limits on goldbhop and cool cbble jumps, they cheated just out of interest in front of all, they did not submit their demos to anywhere and they did not hide the trick behind their demos, that's what I call testing limits. If you were to find one good reason against hundreds of bad, regarding LyNn's case, then your point would make sense. No excuse for LyNn.

I am talking about the futility of the whole "Lynn is banned" thing. Do you really care that whether or not he is banned ? Have you noticed the comedy in the various outcomes of his cheating ? I was not trying to make any point at all, lest it starts a debate amongst Lynn supporters and opposes. Call me anything, but I dont like wasting time on discussing about something we cannot do, like making Lynn not cheat :P I just want us to take a break, be happy considering whatever happens, happens for good. And ya, get your lazy ass back to recording mate. Miss ya :)

lynn did not push any limits. he used cheats. he was doing things simply not possible by any human (or insanely difficult, not practical in world records, etc) 126.4 goldbhop in 15 minutes which took kelta hours, maybe weeks (?) to do 1:28. a map which has seen very minimal improvement over the years. if you want to say he pushed the limits well 11x goldbhop is possible.

@ pizza Don't be a Sheldon Cooper :P I am not trying to glorify "Lynn" for pushing the limits with the help of cheats. I am just focussing on the good that came out because of his cheating from the clean, hard working guys. For eg. VNS beat cg_wildwesthop done in 02:39.61 ( 02:39.80 LyNn ) Deathclaw beat nfs_longjump done in 00:25.41 ( 00:25.42 LyNn ) Lewly beat j2s_westbl0ck done in 02:35.04 ( 02:35.21 LyNn ) Hard Work always pays. Excellent community update. You are doing a great work with these assignements, pu9maker. However, I think it's about time to stop feeding lynn anymore attention, seeing how he has been the center of attention for months now already. It has been uncomfortable months with other words, and I am sure I am not the only one around here sick of hearing his name.

There's no need to attack aetius, he just presented his thought and he's able to do that, or he is not ? I'm not protecting lyNn, hell no, he was cheating and he got caught, and also someone who cheats cannot be someone who pushed the limits. But whole this situation was interesting in some way, seeing back some of old jumpers on field and their thoughts about that and many, many more... You cannot expect from everyone to be clear besides. Anyway, nice stuff pu9, i really enjoyed.

Exactly my point.. I never saw XJ being so friendly and unified and happy in the last 5 years of my existence out here. And neither did I see such activity too. Damn ! Just look at the no of people of online in the last few days (PsYxO plz don't kill me :P It was a joint effort of your work and Lynn's ban :D ) Call me an idealist, but I try to find good in everything cuz the other option is to get frustrated. Hehe !!

I have to disagree. It never feels good to have your world record beaten by illegal means. What LyNn did caused the atmosphere in this community to be very hostile and gloomy: cheat accusations and personal attacks were all around. There was close to no trust in XJ's cheat detection and it felt like anyone could've cheated their way to stardom in that moment. I don't think many were encouraged by LyNn making near to perfect demos... Now that his demos are removed, there's a spark of activity because he showed how to beat those earlier demos, but even that fact is dwarved before all of the negative aspects LyNn brought forth by being so disrespectful towards this community as to lie to us all. I think that's inexcusable. After all, it's with a good reason that his account was disabled and not granted demochecker privileges.
