ROTW #128 - kayne on sn_boxedout
Welcome to the 128th edition of the Run Of The Week!
Featuring: kayne
Map: sn_boxedout
Realtime: 01:49.38 (00:01.26 faster)
Moviemaker: iNsprate
Previous holder: LEWLY
Even though he was very shy at first, kayne accepted to answer a few questions regarding his demo, which got chosen for this first edition of ROTW under the new team.
sn_boxedout keep getting squeezed and I don't know from where you guys find the strength to do that. Does this map have a limit?
Well, what can I say... it's an awesome map that has enjoyable jumps as well as annoying combos now (thanks lewly) and I think and hope that the map can be pushed down to 1:45.
If it will come down to a battle between you and lewly for that 1:45, would you be ready to face him?
Yeah, I would certainly try my best to do so, but lewly is also known to find the most random and annoying combos possible in a run and if he finds the most stupid combos, that would be enough to keep me off the map.
And do you think there are other players who have the necessary skill to beat this record? I can easily see it's very advanced and it won't be a walk in the park beating it.
Yeah for sure. People are just getting better and better every day and new guys coming up from time to time, so I could definitely see someone beating it. Would love to see mgD come back for it though!
That would be really nice. Any incoming records you want to share with us for those who can't wait for the next release?
umm, I took back another demo from LEWLY, mapname starts with a G and hopefully people will enjoy it! :D
I'm sure they will. Thanks a lot kayne for this brief interview. Good luck!
Thanks! :)
And I guess iNsprate wasn't feeling too good so we had to rush through the interview. Nonetheless, he is still a pleasure to watch and his creations will make XJ rise.
So you have made it to the official XJ movie maker team. How do you feel about that?
I'm very happy to be there and to work other with the other guys that are in.
Your previous ROTW with Vertik0 on natureblock was pretty acclaimed. Everyone loved it. How was that for your first experience on the XJ frontpage?
My previous ROTW was pretty bad in my opinion, tons of fails, but I'm actually happy people liked it and the jumper himself.
How about this edition? Your style is pretty simple and puts accent on the run itself. Are you happy with it?
This one is a lot better at many aspects and yeah, I pretty much like my style.
*laughing* ok iNsprate. This is it. Good luck in your future projects and hopefully we can see you again soon!
Thanks, good luck to you too :D
This ROTW covers the WR Release #644.
