ROTW #129 - g-Lp on kz_cg_tower
Welcome to the 129th edition of the Run Of The Week!
Featuring: g-Lp
Map: kz_cg_tower
Realtime: 02:02.72 (00:00.58 faster)
Moviemaker: tjabba
Previous holder: KeltA
I can tell you one thing for certain and that is: g-Lp doesn't like to be interviewed. He said it himself. I don't know if he was hoping to skip him, but this wasn't his lucky day. He had no escape. Fresh out of slide and surf, young with great potential, let's see what he had to say:
This is your first time appearing in the spotlight in our ROTW editions right? How do you feel coming so far in your career as a professional kreedzer?
I guess that my efforts were finally rewarded for playing that much. It's also the logical process after being "good" in surf/slide/css heh !
So you are coming from other communities, rival ones I could say in terms of activity. What made you choose kreedz?
I have never chosen any. I've always played everything at the same time, maybe some more than others for some periods. But since slide doesn't have any communities and that surf is quite dead nowadays (even if a lot of players still play) I've been playing kz lately.
So I guess it's safe to say that kreedz is leading and probably on the right path to become even more active. What are your plans for the future? Continue recording and maybe more ROTW features?
Of course that Kreedz has always been leading in terms of community, but that doesn't mean that it is the best. I had a great time on the surf community while it was more something like user-friendly. About my plans, I'll probably keep playing for a long time, not only kz though! And for sure that I'll record a lot of demos and hopefully a rotw demo as well :D
Speaking of the ROTW demo, your kz_cg_tower is a beast. You managed to beat the acclaimed KeltA with almost a second, on an already flawless run. How did you pull that off?
First of all, as most of the demos that you make, it always seems imperfect; so it will be hard to answer but I was looking for some fast maps and I've found this one. I haven't played it for a long time but one day, like if I was in a good mood, I did it suddenly in a short lapse of time. Nothing special though. If someone would beat it I think that I could improve it with maybe 2 seconds since I don't like to beat my own records without any reason :D
*laughing* ok g-Lp. Cool input. Hopefully we will see more from you in the future. Good luck and thanks for your time. See ya!
Thank you for the interview and I want to say a special thanks to the surf community and MepH ! :-)
As for the moviemaker, tjabba likes to stay private and work hard on his skills, climbing his way up in the moviemaking chain. And from what I can see it's working. I'm starting to like his style more and more, and this edition makes no exception. A little bit of a funky, chill mood and you have the perfect atmosphere to watch the run. Enjoy!
This ROTW covers the WR Release #645.
