After the big change in the demo rules everyone thought that some players would stop recording. But the past release just shown the opposite, so many demos! Congratulations to everyone!

However only one run can be the chosen one and so today is time to unleash the bulgarian beast known as "shNz". I am not sure what you think, but shNz does the same beasty and mean bhop, strafes and doubleducks between bhop combos! Quoting a man and adapting it to the kz, "Why would a man want all that skill?"!
This run just shows what I said above and I have to ask myself: is this guy a machine? Sometimes I believe if shNz geeked hard, and I mean really hard he would reach top1 easily because he doesn't make many mistakes in his runs. However, he prefers to show us his monsterous skills from time to time which is not bad!

I was in a rush, I failed there, the 2 campaths were made to hide something I realised too late, the third campath isn't lagged, was the velocity that ruined the model

how does rotw picking work these days? Do you really watch closely all runs before picking the "seemingly" best? No offense to shNz, I love this guy but it seems to me for a long time now that you pick rotws based on the player's nick rather than the quality of the run. FAME is one of the best demo admins ever, his effort, patience and knowledge now is very important for XJ but I somehow doubt FAME himself checks all the uploaded demos IN-EYE because recently he released a demo with some /pre stuff or smth like that and kiskis or someone else had to point it out, then FAME realized his "mistake" and FAME had to re-check the demo. It wasnt really a mistake cuz it didnt give the player any kind of advantage but the thing is FAME wouldnt even know about it if kiskis? would not point it out. anyway, in my opinion shNz' run on wildwest was not close to the runs like PMSA on cg_d2block_ez, beneath, Cupe on roboclimb, patchouli on memphisblock is super-sick and even buh's utopia recorded in 2012 would've been a better choice. And yes, I think my run on torres would deserve a place there too cuz of all the effort i put in, I know you could not know that but its just sad that players like me work really hard to beat a wr, spend tens of hours geeking, finding the best possible ways and then realize that there's someone like shNz, bibika and such who need literally minutes or a few hours max. to beat any demo they want get rotw without even a perfect run.

Hello PU9, there are three people picking demos, I am one myself, another one is the guy that personally WATCHES IN GAME [b][u]EVERY[/u][/b] demo and CyclopP. First: We do not pick for names, that would be weird since I already wrote two ROTWs with PMSA/Meta's name on it, we can't pick every demo. Secondly: You mentioned that we pick the demos for names but now you ask us to pick for the effort? It is not our bad some guys are gifted to beat WRs in minutes and others don't, as someone would said "genetics bro, some are gifted to lift weights, some are gifted to maths, be mad at God, not at me." Third: Talking by myself, this demo was faster than the cheated demo by LyNn, wondering where your "regular" standarts are at. Don't get mad at me, just thinking out of the box, don't mind, do a WR for next release, I will vote for you. I don't want mad people at us because of chosing 1 demo out of 30+

I just noticed now, shNz beated both LyNn and VNS cheated demos, I don't know about you but I was never able to beat cheaters in any game, not even in Pokemon Online. I am just saying that, in the vote shNz won. I will tell you the process: First step: Watch the demos (me and the other admin) Second step: Chose the best 5 to 10 (depends on the ROTW if it is bigger we pick 10, if it is not that big 5) Third step: After that picking those 5 to 10 demos we carefully watch them again Fourth step: In the end we have 2 to 4 demos to chose, after that we chose a winner with votes, that's all.

yes. but cg_wildwesthop #xxx on rofw, i like see other maps and no maps only bhop bhop and bhop. i see only 2 dems in the past release kz_memphisblock and nolve the both of them can affort rofw

Was a great run from shNz but I'm agree with PU9maker, patchouli on kz_memphisblock just did one of the best runs I ever seen. In my humble opinion, the best runs are in this order: patchouli @ kz_memphisblock PU9maker @ fmc_torres Bibika @ kz_nolve shNz @ cg_wildwesthop PMSA @ cg_d2block_ez Peace!

I agree with zythH , also @PU9 , before u think those runs are better think first if they are clean, weeks ago one chinese guy mention himself that nowadays chinese kz players arent legal.So I bet xj are Checking this case but depends on how busy is edark.Overall good job guys very nice run. Oh almost forgot about VNS like how many of u thought he is legal , so Yeah shnz deserve this rotw for the simple reason that he beat even cheated demos

I think in my opinion that's kind of annoyng just take a demo bcoz, he beated cheated runs it's just unfair for many players that geek way too much to get a wr, and as pu9 says maybe xj is giving us rotw just for names on the table...

who cares what demo they pick it has always been the admins preference and will always be that, my major concern is how horrendous that edit was. That run didn't deserve to be butchered by a edit like that.

Hey guys!! Thank you very much xtreme-jumps for choosing this demo as ROTW, thank you zytH for editing it and for everyone who liked it - I'm awfully glad you did, fellas!! Now, to those of you who claim that this demo doesn't deserve to be the ROTW comparing to some other demos from this release, I wanna say that I respect your opinion and I kind of agree, but I also disagree in a way, because indeed there were some other great runs which could be easily chosen for ROTW, such as patchouli on kz_memphisblock, buh on fof_utopia, Bibika on kz_nolve, Pu9Maker on fmc_torres, buh on fof_chillbhop, MetamorPhose^_x on cg_d2block_ez or kz_ea_beneath, Bunkka on clintmo_falling, roBoTaa's demos, Cupe on po_roboclimb and others. In fact, I believe any of these demos deserves to be on the front page as a ROTW, but XJ decided that wildwesthop should be there instead, and I don't see why would that be a wrong decision. Some of you said that XJ's picking method is based on nicknames, but I don't think it would be fair to disregard the quality of my demos only because of the fact that I became known in this community and my nick is the synonym for "commerciality". Yes, wildwesthop is not uber by any means, but I believe it is still a very decent run which deserves to be a ROTW no less than any of the demos I mentioned above. And as much as I would love to, doing these records is not an easy task for me as most of you might think. Not at all, in fact. It takes me a great deal of time and nerves and sometimes it even gets to the point where I start wondering why the hell am I even doing all this. Now, if XJ had chosen any of the demos I mentioned above as the ROTW, I would not be against that decision because as we can see there are many demos which deserve this prize. A more correct way of saying another demo should've been chosen instead in my opinion would be simply pointing out that you agree with XJ's decision, BUT you personally would've loved it more if it was xxxxxxx demo instead of this. Now, as I already mentioned my run on wildwesthop is nothing great for sure, but beating KeltA's record was a challenge for me and taking it down by a second and a half was something I never expected to happen. I did not plan to make the climb part the way you see in that demo. I simply thought that my bhop was kinda slow throughout the run, so I decided that in order to beat this record now I'd have to go "all in" and do some crazy stuff on the climb part. It was improvised. For those of you who think it was easy for me to beat it - nope, it wasn't, as I already said. And if you think it is actually easy to beat it, well, maybe you're just too good but I don't think wildwesthop has ever been an easy world record. Yes, it would be fair to say that I had my fair share of ROTW's in the past, some of which I agree probably did not deserve to be there, and I wish everyone could have ROTWs every week, because it's cool and motivating and maybe some poeple need them much more than I do, but those who are good enough will get a piece of that cake too eventually, as long as they keep playing. ROTW is simply an entertaining feature and recording specifically to get the ROTW would be... I don't know, weird... As for saying that I beat cheated demos, well, that's kinda pointless because those cheaters I believe intentionally did not do their best on most maps, otherwise it would've been too obvious they're cheating. The problem with cheaters is that while most of their demos are beatable, it's the fact that they do these demos with techniqually no effort whatsoever. It can take weeks of geeking to beat a cheater, and he will take back his demo in a day... Some of you might think that I wrote all this due to the fact that I felt offended or something like that, which I can assure you is not the case by any means. I simply want to point out that very often it so happens that there are sipmly much more than one demo which deservs to be ROTW, but that doesn't mean the one which has been chosen doesn't deserve to be there as well, that's all. All in all, I know there will always be unsatisfied people, as WeMeRA said, but the important thing is to have fun, after all none of this even matters on a larger scale so who cares... Just enjoy the KZ world guys, peace! <3

This is why I like you shNz, you've always been a genuine guy and I'm glad you're still a part of this community after all it's been through, and it still amazes me that you're not in the XJ staff by now, perhaps by personal choice, idk. I just think the community would benefit greatly from a guy like you, you're a very well spoken and open person. Not only that but I think you've also motivated many people to stay away from cheating, new and old members, as they perhaps see the light in the tunnel when they see you beat a cheated demo, and cheating is really just a snowball effect; they see someone else do it and get away with it. I don't even understand how people can get enjoyment out of doing it either, I'd much rather get credibility for something I've worked hard on than to live a lie. Keep up the great work shNz and may the force be with you.
