Records haven’t been improved in a long time and unfortunately there are not enough players as interested in recording as it used to be. The hard task now is to keep my position, because I know at least one guy who feels bad because of it. And I will not have time to battle him/them. It was not that relieving since now some people I considered friends started to envy me. On the other hand, there were so many people congratulating me for the achievement and I am infinitely grateful for it.\\r\\n\\r\\n[flag]null[/flag] C.R.O: How did it all start? When did you begin to think about #1, and how you could achieve it?\\r\\n\\r\\n[flag]CZ[/flag] shooting-star: I started thinking about #1 when I became good in jump cups. When you don’t fail and others do, it’s easier for you to record. But I didn’t have motivation to record demos back then.\\r\\n\\r\\n[flag]null[/flag] C.R.O: Going back to 2011.. You managed to record your first map, kzsca_highblocks. Then, you kept improving step by step until becoming #1, in 2016. It's been a long journey, what do you think?\\r\\n\\r\\n[flag]CZ[/flag] shooting-star: My first record was actually communityblock_outtakes, but I couldn’t upload it because of non-steam. I wasn’t that interested in recording before my internet started to fail. Now, I spend most of my playing time on LAN. Of course I am getting better, but with my travel and school breaks it is not as it could be.\\r\\n\\r\\n[flag]null[/flag] C.R.O: Sad story.. We all know you're capable of recording almost every KZ map. Tell us, what's the key?\\r\\n\\r\\n[flag]CZ[/flag] shooting-star: One year ago, I was recording maps drunk. Now, the key for me is to turn off the music and focus 100%... It depends on time and you just have to find your own way. I just recommend to stop when you are annoyed, because you are not even happy after making it to the end button. It’s supposed to be fun.\\r\\n\\r\\n[flag]null[/flag] C.R.O: Interesting! Since it began, you've had to face against tough players, who was the hardest to compete against?\\r\\n\\r\\n[flag]CZ[/flag] shooting-star: Since the recording demos is just about time (if you geek it long enough, you will beat anything), I would focus on cups. The hardest opponent and also teammate in teamcups was [flag]us[/flag] [b]pizza^[/b]. His jump skills were amazing when he stayed focused. Another person I have to mention is [flag]ru[/flag] [b]Toffifee[/b], who also became a really good player.\\r\\n\\r\\n[flag]null[/flag] C.R.O: I love your capacity to record maps with insane challenging shortcuts, like kz_kzfr_vache_and_cow, kz_beachmountain, kz_cfl_yamakasi, kz_kzfr_mariocastle, kz_kzsca_mountainvillage, kz_man_redrock, and how to forget kz_man_urbanjump. Were this maps harder to record than the rest?\\r\\n\\r\\n[flag]CZ[/flag] shooting-star: I like those maps really much. I don’t like failing combos saving half a second. On these maps, I can afford losing few seconds and jump consistently to the shortcut. Of course, there were some very painful shortcuts. When you know that the only thing standing between you and record is a 1 in 50 chance of getting that shortcut, you cant stop because “it’s just one jump”.\\r\\n\\r\\n[flag]null[/flag] C.R.O: I love how you don’t fear shortcuts! Back then, what were your favorite players?\\r\\n\\r\\n[flag]CZ[/flag] shooting-star: [flag]be[/flag] [b]koukouz[/b] was rising high while I was trying to get my first records. I have always loved his style. [flag]se[/flag] [b]LEWLY[/b] rised at the same time [flag]cn[/flag] [b] LyNn[/b] did, and then I got a little bit annoyed of kz. Now, I appreciate his insane skills as well.
