Prochallenge #2: The End!

Hello community,
Although perhaps not entirely the way it was originally intended to take place, the Prochallenge 2 mapping and demo recording contest finally has reached its completion. We want to thank all the mappers and players who participated along the way and not giving up on us. The truth is, mostly everyone involved with the starting of this project has either since gone inactive, or quit the staff entirely. This unfortunately is what led to some unforeseen bumps in the road during the run of the contest, which in turn gave the XJ Mapcheck team a bit of an unprofessional image, so for that we apologize.
The final stage: prochallenge2_mix is likely the hardest map from either of the two Prochallenge mapping contests, and until recently it was feared that we would not be receiving a world record demo due to its overly-challenging nature. However, when we were notified that bydlo had managed to churn out a no check completion on demo, we felt both joyed and relieved. Hats off to throttle for this amazing record which does not fail to impress. Thanks for your effort!

A second version to the PC2 final stage, this map was designed so that everyone- not just the elite of the elite- would be able to take a shot at his "mix" stage map. The idea here is that this edition will have a much higher nocheck percentage in general which the majority of our player base can look forward to and perhaps enjoy on some public servers.
Well that does it for the Prochallenge series (maybe). Needless to say, before we'll be able to consider a 3rd contest down the road in the future, we will have to restructure a few things to make it easier on both us and the participating community members. Not to worry, we have a few more exciting ideas in the works to bring fresh new content to your news page- so stay tuned!
Regards,
XJ Mapcheck team
