ROTR #9 - kappA_^ on kz_shrubhop_h + Happy New Year!

Hey everyone!

It's time for the Run of the Release #9 featuring kappA_^ on kz_shrubhop_h! This world record was a part of WR Release #821.

It's pretty safe to say that this map has been dominated by bulgarian players for years. shNz established it his own turf back in July 2009, keeping his position strong for almost 9 years by continuously improving the time. In 2018 however, he was dethroned by a fellow Bulgarian, who most of you should be familiar with - our Head Manager p0ker. A battlemovie between the two, edited by Commandeer, clearly encapsulated how close both runs were (p0ker vs. shNz on kz_shrubhop_h). shNz reclaimed his throne back almost a year later, in late April 2019 with close to 2 seconds improvement and sat on it for over 5 years! Now in December 2024, kappA_^ successfully claims the world record, almost 1 second faster than the previous WR.

To celebrate the run, we would like to present you a new Run of The Release video edited by Shad0ws. Once again we are able to enjoy benefits of Unreal Engine - detailed textures, flying insects, various beautiful plants hugged by atmospheric fog create a real feeling of breaking through the swampy land. All that embraced by the bass house track to keep things dynamic!
