Kreedz.com Slide Maps Contest [€250 Prize Pool]
Dear community,
It has been a while since the last time we have had any competition in relation to mapping. I believe it is time to change that, but with a unique and a very needed touch for our community.
As you can guess by the title, this contest will be based entirely on slide maps. According to our new map filters, kreedz.com currently has only six slide maps, which is simply not enough when compared to the rest of the map pool. Moreover, barring one map, all other official kreedz.com slide maps are at minimum set to 'hard' difficulty (with the majority going to hard-extreme and extreme), while also being mostly 'long' in terms of length.
Following this reason, we believe there are simply not enough classic slide maps in kreedz.com.

Voting
Thanks to GameChaos, we will use his formula to accurately judge the maps in the most fair way possible.
Phase I: We will start with a panel that consists of our current mapchecking team. Each one of them will judge the maps on a scale from 1 to 10 based on 5 different categories, from most to least important:
- Gameplay/Balance: How fun the map plays out, are there big unintended shortcuts, is difficulty kept the same throughout
- Design: Is the map intuitive? Can people get easily lost? Is it overwhelming or underwhelming and etc.
- Aesthetics/Visuals: How much the textures/visuals satisfy the eye. What is the level of immersion achieved with them.
- Polish: Is the map well optimized, are there many bugs, visual issues, attention to detail and etc.
- Theme: As there are no rules about the theme, this one is about how creative you can get with it and how well it is executed
Once everyone from the panel present their vote for a map, all ratings from all judges will be averaged out to have a rating which will result in 70% of the final map score.
Phase II: The same process will be repeated, but this time with the community. Every community member will vote on these 5 categories as well, and using the same formula, every member will have their final rating of the map. Once that is done, everyone's ratings will be calculated together which will result in one final number. That number will account for 30% of the final map score.
Phase III: The panel's 70% and the community's 30% ratings for each map will be calcuated together to get the final score for each map. After that all maps will be ranked accordingly, and the final results will be published, thus annoucing the winners.
*Since the submission deadline is 1st of June, we will provide more details as to where you can vote when all maps will have been submitted.
