ROTR #10 - Lws on kz_giantbean_b15[1337trees] + Updates

1. ROTR
Following the latest WR Release #822, we would like to present you the newest Run Of The Release video. ROTR number 10 features a new world record run on kz_giantbean_b15[1337trees] by Lws!
The story of this map is essential to the history of Kreedz Climbing. The creation by none other than Kreedz himself is where it all started. kz_giantbean_b15 (2003) being the first KZ map with a timer, generated a snowball effect that propelled the entire KZ community into unimaginable lengths. Those two little buttons that we push when we start and finish the run became an intergral part of basically every KZ map. Thousands upon thousands of various creations adapted the timer as a norm - a small competetive addition to one of Kreedz's map that changed the course of history and through decades defined KZ as a mod that we all know and love.
As most of you know, kz_giantbean_b15 has multiple routes and going through their stories and rivalries is a true rollercoaster. But even kz_giantbean_b15[1337trees] route, that is a main focus of this ROTR, feels like a true relic of history. The first wr on this route dates back to 2004 - Brambo's record was actually a part of the original kreedz.com (recorded before XJ existence!). From then we go through a festival of notable names that held the WR: FikoN (former #1 player at the end of 2005 and top5 player overall throughout that era*), tarGet (that also occupied #1 spot around mid 2006*), donak0s ! (bhop monster known for his records across many popular bhop maps as well as his axn records), as well as other legends as T3dbundy, ndR and many others!
Last few years for this route seem like a battle between two players: shooting-star and Lws. They kept improving their times, beating their records, leading us to the point of the latest release, where we can admire Lws's recent World Record.

2. ROTR future/new edits
Few updates in regards to the future of ROTRs. As many of you already seen here, an upcoming switch to the live demo release system has been announced. As you might assume, with the changes to the world record releases, there will also be changes to our ROTR videos. Specifics will be announced on the later date, however some of you might've already noticed a non ROTR edit on our youtube channel (or the shortnews):
Each release brings us many notable world records that also deserve a highlight, so we would like to introduce more run edits to the channel. While those edits are not exactly ROTRs, in their core they are pretty similar. Their frequency will vary and is highly dependand of many different factors (most notably - time). While highlighting more records, this will also bring more activity to the channel and hopefully will motivate more players to record demos and more moviemakers to edit.
3. Are you editing son?
Which brings us to the next thing: If you have an interest in video editing and you would love your edit to be highlighted on the channel - feel free to reach out to me (preferably on discord). If you don't feel confident in your editing skills or you would like to learn or improve, check out #moviemaking channel on our Discord server, where you can share your work, ask for a feedback or just simply ask any question about moviemaking. My DMs are also open and I will try to help if possible.
Besides run edits, if you have any other KZ related edits (for example trickjump movies) and you would like to share it to the broader audience, you can also contact me - we can discuss either uploading it to the channel or create a shortnews/newspost about it.
4. Some of the vids are gone from the channel?
Simple answer - yes... and no.
As some of you noticed, many clear demo recordings that were usually linked to the newsposts are no longer visible on the youtube channel. Almost all of them have been hidden (non public), which as expected - caused some problems with easily finding them on youtube, since you are not able to search and browse them easily.
This temporary circumstance is a part of some ongoing changes that we will inform you about at the later date. Until the return of those clean demo recordings, you can use a special #unlisted-videos channel on Kreedz.com discord, which consists of multiple posts with every hidden video directly linked. There is also a pinned post with a little tutorial to guide you through it. We understand that this is an inconvenience, we will inform you once the videos return. Thanks for your patience!
