MAP RELEASE #6 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOPEZ!

We are pleased to present you a new map by V4R10L4V3R4 and sekai, which they have been working on for over one year. This project has become a real challenge for them and at the same time an exciting journey full of creative discoveries and challenges. They put not only hours of hard work into this map but also a piece of their soul. They have created a charming gaming atmosphere that will allow you to enjoy not only the climbing process but also explore all corners of the map.

 

And, of course, the mappers wanted to express a few words for the person who made this grandiose project a reality — Hopez.

 

V4R10L4V3R4: Initially I started this map as an extreme bhop map, thus i made many caves and rooms to bhop through. Terrain and caves took me several months to finish, but i wasn't so sure about the bhop idea anymore... 

 

Around the same time, i showed map layout to sekai, he was amazed and I requested him to make some jumps for me, he accepted! After some discussions with him, bhop concept was scrapped, and instead it was decided to make something completely unique: a hard climb map without any bhops, slides, ladders or even lj blocks! We started building jumps at summer, with many delays because of his and my situations, but we were unstoppable. Picking name for the map was a difficult decision. However, i wanted to make a hb_ map for Hopez for some time already and sekai planned to make one too, so I suggested that we devote this map to Hopez. Then we dragged Qicg and xdd to contribute to the map as well.

 

We have been inspired by many maps, mappers, movies and we have been pushing ourselves and the map to the limits. Due to its enormous size, we encountered lots of bugs, nonetheless eventually solutions came and we managed to combine, polish and fix everything to be as perfect as possible.

 

If you ever play this map, don't give up if you get stuck or lost, just remember, it's always darkest before the dawn! Happy birthday Hopez! ♥ #EZ

 

 

sekai: I was away from the game and mapping for so long when V4R10L4V3R4 offered me to collab, so I couldn't refuse.

Those excellent caves he made, they were supposed to have bhop stages in them, and I thought to myself: "How the hell are we supposed to fill all this space with climb!?". The idea seemed crazy at first, but as months passed, I gave my everything to this map - especially after we determined it's going to be a birthday gift for our beloved friend and player Hopez and it didn't seem so impossible anymore. V4R10L4V3R4 wanted me to test whole map with AWP when it's finished, and it was hell lot of testing, but I successfully landed every block and I dare you, death players out there, do AWP run if you're skilled and brave enough, you are NOT ready for this XD! And to all players in general, map is hard difficulty, meaning all of you can probably finish it! There are also secrets hidden in the map, hope people will enjoy trying to find them :P. 

 

Finally, let's all wish happy birthday to Hopez, admittedly one of the brightest members of our community! Enjoy the map, it took us over 1 year of intense work to build it, and you deserve it. #EZ
