Dear community,
We will be hosting our annual spring kreedz tournament. We wish to have one big tournament like this every season, so in other words, expect at least three more tournaments of similar size this year. Keep in mind that this could be a subject to change.
The spring tournament format has been slightly adjusted. It won't be as big as summer 2024 tournament, but it also won't be as small as winter 2024. We have decided to use points for the melee groups in order to address the importance of longer and shorter maps. On top of that we have decided to bring back the swiss groups format, although this time around you will have only 8 players instead of 16 due to time constraints.
With that being said, here are the details:
Schedule:
3 of May (SAT): 17:00 (5 PM) CET to ~21:00 (9 PM CET) - Qualifiers + Swiss Group Stage
4 of May (SUN): 17:00 (5PM) CET to ~21:00 (9 PM CET) - Swiss Group Stage + Playoffs
Registration deadline: 30 of April (WED): 23:59 CET

1st place: 50%
2nd place: 30%
3rd place: 15%
4th place: 5%
*Depending on whether the prize pool increases, we may change the prize money distribution to allow places 4th till 8th to receive a portion of it as well.

Tournament Format:
Melee Qualifiers:
• Melee Style Format. Everyone vs Everyone.
• Restarts are NOT allowed. Progress is saved.
• Six maps total
• The top 4 players from each group with the most points advance to the next stage.
• Average cup time for the longer maps will be determined by the map's length.
• 20 players limit. Players will be divided into two groups of 10 (the limit may be extended depending on interest). Top 4 players from each group advance to the next stage.
• Players receive points based on their placement on the map. First place gets 10 points, last place gets 1. This way, the length of the map will not matter, only your placement.

• Top 8 players will be put against each other in a Swiss Bo3 format.
• Restarts are not allowed and progress is not saved.
• Seeding will be determined by the amount of points accumulated in the group stage.
• Players with 2:0 and 2:1 record advance, the rest are eliminated.
4 Players Playoffs:

• Classic 1v1 double elimination elimination Bo3 format.
• Restarts are not allowed and progress is not saved.
• Lower finals and Grand finals will be Bo5.
• The winner of the upper bracket receives an advantage in having two first bans versus the lower bracket winner in the Grand Finals.
• Seeding will be determined by the proper placement of the Top 4 players from the group stage.
