New cheater

Some days ago, I checked all the demos in the LJ record forum thread for gravity cheat. I found one demo containing gravity haxx. Instead of jumping 45 units vertically, he jumped 47.3. This is comparable to 760 gravity.

Some of you might say that there are no rules set up for cheats in that thread, and that he therefore shouldn't be banned. There are no rules against posting cheating demos in the forum or chatbox whatsoever. But we look at this as a violation against Xtreme-Jump's authority. And we also consider this action as lame as submitting world records with cheats in them.

hmmm... I wonder... He posted 2 demos in the longjump thread. When u look into the punish table of the rules section, u get 2-4 months for cheating by submitting 2 demos. The rule below means: "About demos with other types of cheats, the consequences will be discussed between the admins." That gives the admins the right to ban someone permanently. I suppose the longjump records count the same like map records. I think this hack isnt worse than "a metamod plugin or 3rd party bhop hack to get auto-bhop (same effect as special bhop-script)" For such a auto-bhop yada yada thing u get 4 months but y did he get a permanent ban ? p1astik joined 131 days ago and visited the page 132 times. That means he was a regular visitor of the page. He posted 10 forum posts, 26 speechbox posts and 7 comments. Is there an other special reason for giving him a permanent ban ? and didnt he make a statement ? Cheating sux but I wouldnt ban him permanently.

Horst & MoeJoe: 1. This guy is mentally retarded (sorry for the hard expression). He told me in a Qry about 1 hour that he made 254, but he was too dumb to send me the demo (he said Rapidshare doesnt work and stuff). 1 or 2 Weeks later he sent some stuff via Rapidshare to OddYsseus. -> He's a Liar 2. He spammed and avertised several Times in the IRC Channel 3. He cheated with purpose. He cant say he did it without purpose cause it needs some knowledge to hacx with amx... => PERM ban.

No offence to richard, but why would we give a shit if some dude says that everyone should get a second chance and he happens to be like a great philosopher or something? You can't use that as an argument... p1astik msg'd me in irc earlier but I was going to see a film. to record your longjump on first try, you must have an amx plugin on your serv and simply bind a key to "stop; /gocheck; record LJxxx" ...

ok, I just post my command cause some ppl just don't understand what we wanna say. first of all, he tryed to kid us with a kiddylike gravity cheat, where you obviously can see that he used it. We just don't like it, when someone thinks we are so fucking stupid and we haven't got any experience to detect such a faggot cheat. If we would give him a second chance and wouldn't be so hard, the user will think something like "l000l.. I'll try to cheat on XJ-demos, cause the gayass admins will give me a second chance anyway.." dictatorship? come on.. we're just trying to keep cheaters away from the kreedzing-scene.. nothing else!

btw... i posted the last comment as a normal jumper and person not as XJ admin. th3 admin statement would be: in generel cheaters get a second chance and are banned for x months, but in special cases, especially when cheaters are liars too, then they get a permanent ban. we just want the keep the kz thing clean as ernstaugust said :)
