Big changes in the KZ World
Hi guys,
there is another bad news today, sorry for that :(
Moxx and some of the XJ admins (soul|ftw and stukad) have decided to leave #Xtreme-Jumps because of some internal problems and start over again with kzmaps! ernstaugust will help them to create their webiste but he also will remain a part of XJ (as honorary member) and continue his work on #Xtreme-Jumps v2 (a complete new layout and theme which was planned to be a suprise and will be released soon).
We are not going to give up and continue our work as usual.
Of course we've realized that the atmosphere on XJ was going down lately and I have to apologize for being pretty harsh and strict to all these people which asked "newbie questions" which have been asked for 1000th times (what was one of the points of criticism Moxx had against XJ).
After we've got some suggestions by our users (scary, elIte or ndR for example) I've worked out a plan to improve all these things on XJ and get back the old and peacfull XJ we had some months ago.
Unfortunately Moxx and his friends decided to leave and dont share this attempt.
However, here are our new ideas/changes for you:
- New Forums have been added (called Help Zone) where you can ask every question you want to ask and where we are trying to help you as soon as possible. This will be the main place for questions and help; solved problems will be made Sticky.
- XJ will be pick up 2-3 new admins within the next days (an extra application form will be online soon) to get help out of the community.
- There will be newsposts about the Community and "Scene News" (if a famous jumper decides to retire for example) in the future.
- The Rule about fagsmiley will get removed. You can express yourself in the way you want to do. (Note: Spamming will be punished of course).
- The FAQs and the Rules will get updated so it's easier for you to read/understand them.
- We are thinking about a new IRC Channel policy (+v for important people like top5 jumper or mapper) which will be announced on an extra news, too.
Moxx is planning to take the further mapreleases to kzmaps, but the next Maprelease will be done by XJ (all the maps that have been submitted so far) and we are waiting for a Statement by Kreedz before we stop checking Maps for kz_ Tag.
Maybe there will be another decision though, like working hand in hand with kzmaps to get the best result for you guys out there, but we don't know yet and this will be discussed later so only time can tell what happens in the end...
