2 New Techniques
Hello everyone
There hase been alot of discussion about the Count technique lately.
After a lot of back and forth, we have decided that we will add a new section to the LJ Thread.
So, what does the Count technique really do?
For example:
We all know that there's massive friction on a highjump, wich makes it harder to jump than a normal longjump with the same amount of units.
A normal longjump also has some of this friction, but not as much as the highjump of course.
Using the Count technique reduces the friction on the ground wich has the same effect as the illegal command "edgefriction 0" wich gives you the advantage to have a faster prestrafe speed (up to 285-290 units/s instead of 275-276 with a normal longjump).
So in short - It's a new unique way to trick the HL engine, just as the newly found Jump Bug.
Both of these 2 new techniques will be accepted in all sort of demos (record demos or future trickjumps).
Count Jumps are listed as normal Count Jumps only, because a highjump with the Count technique is exactly the same as a normal longjump with Count technique.
So guys, both beginners and advanced jumpers, go out in the wonderful world of kz and explore these 2 new techniques :)... if you can :P
