FPS-Death Changes
Hey guys,
apperently our AC-Tool FPS-Death might has been leaked as skilled (cheat)coders are working on a way to crack it in this moment. We knew the Anti-leak protection could be cracked, just as any other protection out there, but it is terrifying to know that one of the "trusted" Account-holders gave away his copy to crackers/coders.
Therefore eDark and the XJ staff decided to stop to supply national communities with FPS-Death in the future. All existing accounts will be deleted and your FPS-Death copies will stop working right now. We are sorry that a lot of innocent demo admins have to take this burden, but obviously one or some of the guys can't be trusted and we can't take the risk to give away such important files to pretty unknown people anymore.
Let's hope the coders have the decency to keep the cracked version for themselves, otherwise I see very dark days coming for this community :(
P.S: Last but not least, just to have a few positive things in this news: eDark is working on a remake of FPS-Death at the moment. This new version will contain a lot of new stuff and detections, and I gurantee that it won't get leaked because nobody will ever get a hand on it except the 1000% trusted people here at XJ.
Keep your heads up.
/update:
We are working on a solution for the national communities out there:
Actually, if all of the XJ account-holders agree, there could be a a place where national demo admins can post suspicious demos and make the XJ demo admins check them for hacks.
This way the national communities can check the demos with fps death public to get the average fps and check for the right ingame-settings to keep their record section up²date.
The well established jumpers in the respective communities can be trusted anyway, so you don't need to check every single demo for bhop hacks etc. If there is a new guy or a suspicious demo you can request a special check by the XJ admins.
This was how things were handled before the accounts were introduced, and I'm sure it is still working.
If you are one of the national demo admins please post in here.
