Oh it would be so nice to see tarGet coming back to the kreedz scene :) He was such a good jumper back in the old times... still the best, friendliest and coolest person I met here =) (read this and turn on cs) not to forget: great job to all jumpers in this release.. the demos are getting more insane than somebody could have thought of some years ago...

I am sorry for my doublepost, but I have to say something more. I recogniced the "new beginning" in some demos where people use the edge of the timer to gain some seconds of time. It started with kzno_extremeblock (I guess) and after having watched Supa's highblock demo I want to ask all Xtreme-Jumps admins if this new "biginning" will be the normal way in the future. In my eyes it looks weird for people who are new the the kreedz scene and it is not that legal because you are not able to do it on online-servers and listen servers without the special amx plugin... what about that rule: (?) "You are not allowed to use any metamod-plugins that would give you an advantage to other jumpers." So the new beginning of the demos are only able to do with your checkpoint plugins because nobody would jump all the way to the top just to start from there in every new round... It is just my opinion and nothing against any jumper having such records!

I understand your point, but teleporting to the top of the map doesn't give you advantage in the actual run. Yeah, it sucks, but that's the rules! New mappers should fix their timers so you couldn't do that sc. Fortunately, it's only in a few maps and barely saves anything.

i agree with rayla. it's easy for most of you to say that the "boost of timer" sc is fine because all you care for is seeing the fastest time done on any map, but imagine if it was your map that got beat. someone told me about this "new beginning" a long time ago and i told myself i'd never beat a map like that because it's cheap. if you ask zhady, ndR, or anyone who has been around for awhile, i'm sure they'd say the same thing. just do the map the way it's supposed to be done. anyways i'm sure nothing will be done about this because it's not against the rules, but this is not the way kz should be evolving to the next level.

If you're talking about gaining speed using timer, then whats wrong with it? F.e. kzno_extremeblock, there wasn't a single jump skipped using timer. So why you say that map was done not like "it's supposed to be done". And even if you ban this, then you have to remove AXN demos with those timer tricks. And ndR wouldn't agree with you. If he would, he wouldn't have submitted that kz_j2s_icevalley demo. Not to mention his comment on the new pole.

I agree with you brian on some points. But still, it's like an SC and it should be allowed, nonetheless I'd rather have you record on xtremeblock than FOF's because you did it faster in my opinion. It's a shame that a map like that got lost because of a slidetimer. But still I don't think there should be a rule against it.

kexas, it's not about skipping any jump in the map. it's about cutting off seconds any way possible. in this case, he skipped running up the ramp which cuts off a few seconds that are crucial on a map like xtremeblock. i'm fine with having no rule against it, but you have to admit it's pretty cheap. either way, i still see it as cheating and nothing will change my mind.

I agree with brian, cuz it's really cheap to save seconds by "sc" like that. As he said, think about u've been making a demo, trying to do it for perfect run (highblock for example), and u get it after 1 week recording, and then some1 beats ur demo with worse run, because of that so lame sc. So, u cant say it's not lame. :) but if doing those timerslide sc's is going to continue and if there'll be more and more demos with that kind of sc's, admins should do something. imo

Well CJ was also lame when it was invented, but now it isn't. It's cheap, but since when did cheap things get illegal in kz? Now that people know about that timersc, everyone can do it and it shouldn't be so lame.
