k3G & wRath - The rising

This movie is made by the talented movie maker who got most of his movie making skills by making a lot of battle movies. I'm talking about boom.dll of course. The movie is about two jumpers from the opposite side of the world. k3g is from China and wRath is from Norway, <->.

k3g is mostly famous for his edge bugging records, which he proves he has under full control.
wRath is a very good jumper but a mapper aswell, he got it down!

Anyway, let's make this short, here's the movie:

dunno wtf to say. the quality etc was amazing - but the movie was "laggy" to me - which i guess was on purpose cause you edited the way you did, sometimes i just felt like i didn't really get to see the jumps properly because you "skipped" in em. Maybe this is just because quicktime and iTunes can't play it properly, if so.. do tell. other than that it was really, really nice

I think it is sad that some guys call these jumps for random. The truth is that most of them are new, unknown scs :/ Don't call them random. Sucks with old and known jumps.

Great movie no doubt. I really liked wrath's part. But I have to say, I found it very sad that everything was in slowmotion... Not one single jump was in normal speed. That made k3G's strafes seem like a newbie strafer. Other than that, the editing was very good. [b]7/10[/b] I'd really prefer if the inferno jump, which was the "best" jump in my opinion, was in first person.

partly agree with scary :D it's truth that most(or all:?) of jumps in movie are not in normal speed, but you should have a notice that most of this jumps are shortcut and i only known 50%(or less) of them :D. so, slowmo sounds reasonable for showing those incredible sc :D,isn't it :D? btw, k3g' strafing looks really bad in slowmo(sorry for that :D), but i love those scs :D. already watch 3times, great job boom,k3g and wrath

These guys are some awfully skilled/talented trickjumpers, it's the 2 best trickjumpers that I know of. When wRath suddenly gave me a link to the movie I was pretty god damn excited. Well, first impression at the start was that this movie was gonna be one hell of an experience to watch, but when k3g's part began, it felt like there was something missing. Nice intro, but it somehow was kind of an anti-climax how k3g's part started out right out of nowhere. For movies, I like a lot of text, and special parts, that you didn't see coming. Hard to give examples here, though. Well, back to k3g's part. I know that k3g is probably even more skilled than you can imagine, when watching this movie. Maybe his strafes aren't fast and smooth as everyone else's, but that doesn't seem to stop him from pwning almost whatever he wants. Remember: A good trickjumper isn't necessarily also a good longjumper, k3g is the perfect proof for that statement. After all, we are talking about TRICKjumps, aka jumps that are tricky. Maybe k3g and wRath chose their own songs, but to make a long story short, these songs are not really what I think the jumps of this movie deserves. They are almost the same all through. Therefore, it's hard to make some jumps stand out more than others, and make the music "compliment" the songs, if you can say that. It's nice songs, but it doesn't really keep up with the incredibly skill that these two jumpers are armed with, if you ask me. As I've talked to wRath about, there should be some parts in the music where it sort of stops, or the beat changes, or where you eventually would get shivers down your spine. You can make boring jumps seem interesting by using some music that really fits, but uber jumps and boring music just doesn't do it for me. It seems like the music/sound is running at one place, and the jumps/video as another, sometimes. When watching movies like Potatismos, I sort of feel that the music used, were made for this movie, and that's the important thing. It's also dumb to choose songs that you hear on the radio and stuff. :P Well, it might have something to do with that I've seen Potatismos like a million times, and movies DOES get better every time you watch them, at least before that point where you know every single bit of it, and therefore can't be surprised/overwhelmed anymore, so I'm definitely gonna watch this movie regularly for the future, it really helps. :P Well, after all, when I'm watching this movie to the end, it does seem like a good experience, although I'm pretty sure that it could have been much better, with these insane jumps, that I know that k3g and wRath spent a shitload of time on. boom.dll, I think you are a nice moviemaker, you can do some great effects and stuff, like k3gs jump on exodus, that was awesome. I'm only suggesting you to work more on the music vs. jumps, and make that work together as good as possible, 'cause (at least for me) that's plays the biggest role in a good kz movie. Jesus, how much did I write? :P Don't know what it is with me and these walls of text, I guess I like writing. :P I certainly hope this was not a waste of time. ;) A huge good job to [b]k3g[/b], [b]wRath[/b] and [b]boom.dll[/b] for creating a great movie.

9/10 Really enjoyable movie, alot of new and unique jumps. wRath you surprised me alittle, we all know how k3G can pwn alot of trickjumps and sc's, but you definetly had some really sweet trickjumps in it aswell, GJ to both of you. bomb.dll has really gotten better aswell - I don't much about rendering, but this movie looked much cleaner than your previous ones. I really like your editing in this movie aswell, but take PuppetZ's criticism about the music constructively- because he has point there. The intro and outro music did fit well though.

I didn't know much at all about neither of you guys, I know that both of you are good jumpers but I havent really seen anything from you. When k3G's part first started I kinda felt dissapointed, his style looks kinda weird and I hadn't seen thoose jumps before so I thought it was some newbie stuff. But then I saw some jumps that I know are hard to make and I understood that he actually managed to make hard jumps with that weird strafes. wRath part surprised me pretty much, I've always known that he's a good jumper, but I didn't think you would make that nice trickjumps, thought you were busy with other things ;D. Nice, clean strafes and doubleduck-to-bhops, which I enjoy alot ;). I wasn't that surprised by boom.dll, I knew that he would do his job properly. Like the others are saying, just need to get the music match the jumps. I think you need to take a look at reAti's works, the thing that make reAti's movies good is that the music really fits the movie, he's not making any ubereffects but the music seems made for the movies.
