It's because mappers make maps in a grid that's like 64x64 units.
1 - 2 - 4 - 8 - 16 - 32 - 64 - 128 - 256 - 512, etc.
Kind of hard to explain, but when you've tried making maps, you'll know why. :P

If it's old mby someone can post a demo? cause in oP^s link where is no demo.
BTW cordyline i know you like those 256 tricks :P

I saw in a kreedz movie, a long time ago, but dunno thats name :S. But i know, I saw in youtube :) trying to find than edit.
