So basically alot of beginners makes a new thread for a problem and doesn't even post a compile log or read the compile log right. So i've written this introduction on how to ask/post questions "correctly".

How to search for problems
Press on the left side in the navigation on the search link.
Select the forum on the dropdown menu and write the problem in the search field.

If the search doesn't give a result try to search it yourself in the forum, by using the Mapping Help forum and click your way through the first 3 pages.
After that you can be sure that the problem wasn't posted before.

How to create a forum post with the right informations
Create a proper subject which contains the problem name.
First of all you need to tell us which mapping editor you used and what compiler tools you use. This means no guitools like batchcompile or hlcc or x², but tools like the qtools (qcsg..) or the zhltools(hlcsg...)
Then remember what you changed in the past before you compiled it.
After that post your compilelog (prefered as a nopast link. Why? compilelogs can be long).

Also if the map won't start in counter-strike and it switch you back to the main-menu. You need to give us the console message from the console.

How to find problems faster than searching in the forum
Open up your mapsource folder where you *.map file has been saved. Normally after a compile there is a yourmap.log file which can be open with the Windows Editor. Now read carefully the logfile because most errors has been reported easily with it and sometimes there is a small fix description.
