Hi guys , today I'm gonna write a simple tutorial of how to easily create some nice looking text effects in AEE .

The plugin Effects that you shud be using are Trapcode , CC and Saphire . Those are the 3 most used effects of my own.

This is a real basic tutorial for beginners.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sy9WXRHY1yM I Created by doing what be said here and just do some more basic camera tool.

1. Start of with going Composition -> New composition and choose these settings: http://data.fuskbugg.se/skalman01/d1.JPG

2. After you have done that Do Layer -> New -> Text , Then write whatever you want , as you saw in my clip i wrote "Xtreme-Jumps"

3.Now you should have this http://data.fuskbugg.se/skalman01/-----d2.JPG Now go to Effect -> Trapcode -> Starglow http://data.fuskbugg.se/skalman01/-d3.JPG .

4.Now the tricky part beginns , do Layer -> New -> Camera http://data.fuskbugg.se/skalman01/d4.JPG And now you will have to do The text layer into 3D so you can see around it etc so you do this http://data.fuskbugg.se/skalman01/d5.JPG But if you dont have that menu press F4 Then you should have it there.

5.Now what you wanna do is to choose The rotation tool by Pressing (W) And just flip back the Text a bit so its leaning backwards , Now Press the layer and Press (P) There you should find alot of digits , change the first digits to -792,7242 , Then it shud move out of the picture , Then u will have to press a Keyframe http://data.fuskbugg.se/skalman01/d7.JPG And then press the keyframe timer and push it forward maybe 1 Second , When your there change the Digit back to 140,000 .

From this point You can just play around whatever you want with Keyframes , Cam Tool ..

If you have any trouble dont hesitate to write in this thread or write to me in [email protected] or in #kz-scandinavia my nick is @Noddan there.

More tutorials coming soon about all of the commands in AEE and what they do!

BYE!

this is just too basic and everybody who has AE can do such things.
I think if you know some tricks and effects like on http://www.ayatoweb.com/ae_tips_e.html then poste them here.. coz this what you showed is nice but as i said after trying one hour after effects i think everybody can do this.

ayato's tutorials are not for beginners. You'll definitely find most of the effects difficult to achieve and the only think you can do is to recreate exact copies of the tuts and we're looking for creativity right ? :D And Noddan you haven't mentioned anything about the appearance of the text. Something like:
1. Duplicate the layer and put it below the first one.
2. Apply "Radial Fast Blur" (from Effects>Blur and Sharpen). Play with the center point till you get the desired effect.
3. Apply "Hue and Saturation (Effects>Color correction) and tick the colorize option and adjust it.
4. Change the transfer mode for the first layer (the one without any effects applied). You can toggle between the different transfer modes by clicking "SHIFT" + "=" or hit F4 on the keyboard and choose something from the menu. I recommend hitting SHIFT + = till you find something that looks nice if you don't know what the different modes do.
That's something really easy and looks good. :)

And btw you can try to keyframe the scale instead of making the layer into a 3D and keyframe the position.

P.S. Nice to see there's a moviemaking section :)

i must say its a good tut for beginners!

You know im looking for some tuts like ayato's, but with better explanations thats why i was a lil bit aggressive.. sorry again. Keep on doing and gl!!
