Massive improvement-thread v. 1.0
This thread is meant to give ideas and improving the servers, webpage/forums for everyone in the community. It is not meant to be insulting if someone misunderstands it somehow, I don't know how you could, though.
FORUMS:
- Possibility to remove own thread (password/email-confirmation vs. hax0rs etc)

- Clear section in rules for 'Forum Rules'
WEBSITE:
- Avatar-changing by browsing OWN FILES instead of a direct link
- Namechanging at low cost (limited, ofcourse)
SERVER:
- Bunnyhop-longjump stats
- Edgebug/jump-bug stats
- +250 lj/+260 cj "GODLIKE!"-sound off
.. and more if anything crosses my mind.

Bunnybhop-Plugin is not ready for Public Download. Lt.Rat work hard for this Plugin. I think he need 2-4 Weeks.
Edgebug/jump-bug stats we dont need this on our Pub-Server.

18/07/2008 15:45Climb servers shouldn't have any kind of stats, IMO. Like kzfi, they don't even have the longjump plugin, which is good, cause then you know people are here to climb, or bhop, if its a bhopmap.

the best way would be a ljstats plugin that is disabled and only gets enabled if you enter the lj room on the map (if there is no lj room, there will be no stats) and there wont be a lj15, just stats for you, to know what you have done, no colorchat, just the stats, that would be the best imo :P
100% agree with Z0ck3rOO7, that would be the best way to solve things. Fair for both ljers and non ljers.

Why don't u let them lj?
It shouldn't bother u that they lj on the ground.
If u don't wanna see their stats use /colorchat.
I'm not a fan of longjumping either but imo it's senseless to disable stats.

Because everyone wants to show off with his "lj skillz"..
the problem i usually see with servers having lj stats, is that people can't get in to the server to do the map because of all the people filling up the server just ljing at the start.
Good point Simplicity. For me only the prestrafe (bhop,cj,etc.) is actually interesting when I'm climbing if I can call this interesting cuz it's needed only on hard maps (imo). LJstats are not suitable for a server but maybe parts of them are: like i said about the prestrafe and maybe strafe counter + sync. Possibility to remove own thread is a nice idea and we surely need some clear rules for posting in the forum and admins who are strict enough to look after people who don't observe them.
join -> beat the map -> get the permission to use ljstats
maybe you should even be kicked if you dont start a run within x seconds
22/07/2008 17:02SchlumPF, that is a really good idea! They have to finish the map to get stats. That's also why I, and other people places lj-rooms near the end and not near the start.
But if you choose this decision, you should also find some way to only show stats to the guy who is ljing. Like st0ka said, it is interesting sometimes to see how well you are doing when climbing.
hm i like zockers idea, but i dont think there will be such a plugin, since its hard to keep it up to date (new maps, plugin has to be updated to find the new rooms etc).
schlumpf idea is kind of better, forces the lj kids to finish the map to get their candy. nevertheless i'd like a strafecounter plugin that available all the time, since i think this can be useful (no jump length, only strafes, sync, speed).
i went to "a server" at ex_deathdrop. made a really noob run with 6 falls with 3:26 and was top1. i start to think: wtf? but i can see 10 people on server, 8 is doing lj on the ground, im trying the map and other trying the map with cps.
what lj stats cause? the people only want to stay on lj top1 and show to other people: look, i can jump 250 stats. after change map to kz_longjumps(2) and start to jump on 220 block or on the ground.
normally this people can do 250 but cant do kz_cg_extreme with cps for exemple.
