I'm tired of many people who post screenshots on "wrong" way (png/bmp files or not using direct links) so I decided to take 10 minutes of my time to make this! It's better for everyone!

Okay now, .bmp/.png are huge, picture can be to 2mb sized. And when it is combined with not using direct links on image hosting sites it can be a nightmare.

For example I sometimes go to the Jumps section, pick some thread and want to try to pwn those jumps. But ofcourse, I always find a 2mb pic and non-direct link. It will take some time to load the pic if it's big sized but non-direct link make it even worse because they need some to load cuz of ads and shits. So, 1 minute to load sometimes. And thats only one picture......

So lets make it easier to each other, ok?

So, first thing is to download a printscreen program. I use Gadwin Printscreen 3.5 but if you want any recent version go to their site.

Now you need to configure it. Check the pictures if you don't know how to configure it!
Preferences
That's what I suggest, I bet all of you think these settings are the best. I guess you don't want to preview image (you take a SS while playing pcw/fw and then CS minimizes so you could preview image) or maybe get a notification (again CS minimizes so you could get notification). No need to explain other settings in this tab.

Now pick "Source" tab and choose between client window, current window, rectangular area or full screen. I suggest full screen, pick whatever you want. :)

Now go to "Destination" tab. Just mark automatic naming and capture directory. Other not necesarry but if you want to, feel free to do it.

And finally go to the "Image" tab. Pick image type (JPEG ofcourse), size, quality or some effects if you want (Gray scale, image shadow, stamp).

That's it, this is made for easier picture/screenshot viewing.
Have a nice day.

why not just print screen > paint > paste > save as > save as jpg? :F

Well it's better this way. Try to save this way 10 SS and on "paint" way 10. :P
It's better when it's all automatic. :P

I use option in CS that you can make SS with binded key (I have "E"). It saves SS's to cstrike folder and then I open them with MSPaint and save as *.jpg.

Simple, isn't it?

But nice that you put some effort to help "newbies".

ye Raptor22 "snapshot"ting is a better way. Plus if you have Photoshop compress them there (jpeg format) else MSPaint is a good way too though it's jpeg compression sucks.

ImageShack Quickshot rulz.
Simple and efficient.
Just press what combination of key do you want (ALT + S in my case ) and your screenshot it's taken and saved in your directory that you want.
Also you have another option where you can printscreen only active windows ( ALT + D in my case ).
If you want to take and upload it in imageshack automaticaly it's also necessity to press 2 keys ( ALT + U and ALT + I in my case )
HF.

I prefer the printscreen button, and it is probably better to use, because normally the stuff you take screenshots of, is happening really fast.
