Viewdemo in ghost mod
i wanted to make a lj movie and i was wondering if i coud view the player with free look not first person , cause i saw a couple of movies with the first person view of the jump , and in a diferite sequence a free look of him jumping .
i want to know if that's posible with already recorded demos or if i coud use some program or smth in the future demos.
For a free look you could use an own HLTV Server.
In past before some month I prefered to use it on my Dedicated Server.
Any other methodes, don't know ^^

4th) On steam click.. Games>File>Go Offline [So you don't get banned for using Mirv (techinally a hack)
5th) Open Mirv.. then open Counter Strike
6th) Type dem_forcehltv "1" in console
7th) Then type mirv_fixforcehltv "1"
8th) "Viewdemo DEMONAME" and Viola! you are now in free look / other spec views :)

Wicked, all i need to get now is steam lol just i minor setback But i saw in features that does more than free look,thx.
I can see the model when im using dem_forcehltv 1 and cam_command 1.. :/ any help? :D

You cant get banned for mirv if you watch demos or when you connect to your LAN game. Just dont connect to a VAC secured server.
And mirv demo tool is IN HLAE. No need to download both.
The correct Guide:
1. Download HLAE (Half-Life Advanced Effects) http://hhg-clan.de/hlae/files/hlae_2_0_2_2.zip
2. Open the program (gui.exe)
3. Click on File > Launch > find your hl.exe directory
4. You can change the others settings, I kept it on default
5. Click on Launch (counterstrike will start in the program itself)
6. Open console and type mirv_fixforcehltv *
7. Load your demo
8. Typ dem_forcehltv 1
9. Reload your demo
Enjoy your freelook
* This command together with MIRV will fix the no-model-show. Its a common problem when you load your demo on default in forced mode you wont see the model whois recording (where the in-eye is from).
Hey guys.
I got a problem with the "no model show".
I did the steps of the "correct Guide", but it won't show my model on demos, which I recorded on my LAN-server.
I am the only one on these demos.
But after doing all these steps I can't see it s:
What's wrong..
Then I chose a demo, which I recorded public (there were 16 other games as well), and after doing these steps I saw my model.
What's wrong?
EDIT: It' works now, dloaded HLAE again. ^^
i got a hltv but its buggy sometimes and i got old demo's without hltv demo's so this is really niceeee!!
I have the same problem as TiehJay. I can't see my model, it's invisible in free look. I did all what raver wrote, but it doesn't work. I've tried other versions of hlae with no results. How to fix that?
type: mirv_demoedit_fix tfc
and set cl_observercrosshair 0

i dont see the model. ive tried radons and spaniolus commands but none work, what to do?
I know this is old thread by I have damn problem. I used this "technique" few times and everytime I was able to see model of the player but know I can't. I do it same way as before, tried to download the newest version of the HLAE and the relust is still same: invisible player model.
Well, i've tryed have the same problem as all in here. And i tryed everything.. Well if u have tryed all in here, then maybe it could be cuz u got that cs models fix. I had that too the wrong and it did so i dident see models. After i removed it, it worked perfectly.
