lj maxspeed help :)
well first to say.
hello to all im new here .
i played hns for a long time but think its time to signup x-jump now :)
well i have this problem
my pre strafe is around the 275 all the time.
but my maxspeed stucks at 320. cant get it higher nowhatsoever.
heres and example
[xj] FloWz #hsn.xR blabla bla jumped : 250.042 , maxspeed : 225.03
prestrafe 276. 7 strafes. 87 synch.
is there anyway for me to get over the 250
what should i do.
better prestrafe? better synch ?
i need some help

but i think the best maxspeed is about 230-235
wow, 230-235, did you mean 330-335 ?
cmon joel calm down, he doesn't know english apparently..... speed isn't the only thing you should bother with, i can get up to 340 with lj and still go nowhere strafes>speed

to achieve distance you need a combination of things /edge/ speed over time /and moving str8/ so speed is important best speed would be 360 maybe or somewhere around it but uber hard with human hands + keeping edge and st8 moving toward the next block
i recently tought about that and i found out that , im trying to create 1 str8 line from edge to edge and strafe should move around this str8 line i really don't know how to say it ..
edit: in other words i'm doing this shit like this 1st strafe is big .. 2nd strafe is bigger in order to achieve str8 moving + edge all other strafes are small and equal sized to keep the speed to the end of the jump
this way i did 13 x 250 2 times in public , once i was alone and the other time i was in a friend server.. stats never falls under 253 and im getting 254-5-6 stats pretty often
oh yeah and now ppl will say well just cuz you did 250 a few times with this "tactic" this wont mean that you will do more than 250 with it .. actually i did 254 , 2 time from 3 tries in public so i think il stick with it
also this helped me a lot in bhoping..

if you can gi'me a demo or an explain for this otcheto will be awesome for me i think.i never did 250 on block ( i admit that i never geek LJ ,i don't like LJ but will be good for me to did 250 )

im using this way of strafing from 3-4 days so its not even close to perfection but i think its pretty good for 6 strafes

28/07/2008 13:17Take a look at the longjump thread. Even people on the 255's doesn't have impressive maxspeed. I think I have done something like 253 stats with like 320 maxspeed too. It just proves how maxspeed is just a show-off, that you can't use for anything. The average speed matters more, I believe.
