the fact is the mouse does matter. with g9 i could do 254 lj now with a regular $2 mouse i can only do 249
so i guess u have a new mouse and u no longer jump 251?

yeah guy, when we change sensibility/mouse, at the first week/3days, we can't strafe well and can't pre strafe.

at this moment I am leaping 800dpi 3 sensitivity
2000+ dpi is the best. but always is very expensive.
I want a 2000 dpi mouse, but i think i will never buy cuz the price

Well, i don't know, i had a mouse of 7u$s and i was jumping 253, now i have a better mouse ( MX518 ) and i jump a bit less .
It's kinda weird ... it's just something that requires time ...
I don't think it matters which mouse you use, you won't lj better just because you have 2000 DPI.
1)mouse _does_ matter, so does the mousepad
2)add these commands to steam launch options (without the quotation marks)
"-noforcemaccel -noforcemspd -noforcemparms" to disable mouse acceleration, untick the "Enhance pointer precision" in mouse settings in windows

right click on steam in my games and then propeties and u will find it

my mouse is genius for 10$ and i did with this mouse 260 cj 244 bhop lj 240 hj and 252 lj mouse doesn't matter

15/09/2008 12:36As long as a mouse is not broken, it doesn't matter so much in longjumps. Yes, it does matter between 400 dpi and 2000 dpi, but the difference is quite small. I don't think you'll get even one unit more in lj with that. However, you can also set your sensitivity to be lower, therefore your mouse's accuracy improves, but you have to move your hand more.

k so i made a test with both mouses, g9 and this crap, when i moved at a certain speed with g9 i would have a lot of speed, yet with this mouse i would gain little speed with lots of breaks in the middle and sometimes i would even lose speed.
Does this have any connection with mouse frequency rate or something?
flibo saying "practising is the key" isntead of saying: "with this mouse ull do more than with that one" i think is saying they dont believe in me xD Not saying his problem is the mouse though.
ps: this mouse does have 400 dpis, if what u say is correct then i have less chances of getting higher lj.
