ohai. i was just surfing around in a german forum and found a thread about "lucid dreaming". lucid dreaming is, that you know that you're dreaming at the same time you are dreaming. also, you can fully controll everything. there was a guide too, but it was in german.

im gonna try to explain the very basic basics:

at first, do reallity checks as much as you can. a good check is to find some random shit which is written next to you. remember what was written, turn your head so you dont see it anymore, think of something different what you want to be written there, turn your head again and see if it has cnanged or not.

also, you could just randomly turn very fast 360° and see if there were any changes.

or just ask yourself if there's everything normal in your environment. like the persons next to you. are they kind of strange?

so that were the reality checks. now u're probably asking yourself what the fuck are they for? the answear is, they help you split dreams and reality. of course you're only doing the reality checks in the reality at first, but maybe after some nights u're doing them in your dreams.

if it happens that you do 'em in your dreams it means that you actually know that you're dreaming while you're dreaming, which makes u get a huge step closer to lucid dreaming. try to force you to wake up.

after getting back to rl, try to think very much about a specified topic. try really to think a lot about it,. also, you have to believe by yourself that u're gonna have a lucid dream! i herd things as thinking "im gonna have a lucid dream now lol" shall help you having one.

then go sleep.

there are a few possibilities of what will happen next.

1: you're gonna wake up the next morning.
- to get sure that it really is that, do reallity checks. if the results of that checks are "WTFFFFFF?", then congratulations, you're lucid dreaming. now you can do what you want without any disprofit. no need to be scared.

if the reality checks tell you that u're in reality -> :sadsmiley:

2. you are in awareness and you know that u're dreaming from the beginning without the need of doing reality checks.
- that's even better for your lucid dreams. because that means you're more 'pro' in having them. grats, same as #1 - do what you want now. :P

i think that's all.

good stuff for training is:

try to remember what u were dreaming
try to force yourself to dream something by thinking of a specified topic
do a few reallity checks even if u're 100% sure u're in reallity. no matter what the results of those reallity checks is, they always make you get closer to lucid dreaming.

thats my opinion from what i've red. i didnt try it so far, since i red the stuff on that german forum 10mins ago. gonna try it this night.

found something on google:

have fun @ lucid dreaming. :o

hmm didn't read the whole thread topic but when i dream I always know that I'm dreaming. I even analyze things that can't be real etc. And when the dream becomes to weird in a bad way I can force myself to wake up. "I'm thinking I gotta wake up" sometimes when I'm waking up but don't want the dream to end I think like: "No no don't get up" and sometimes I actually fall asleep again continuing my dream. Dreams are a terra incognita that was always interesting for me but they're still an unexplored world.

Old, but I really want to try this some time. I've read about years ago and got really interested. It's not easy though. I would love to see if someone has actually accomplished to get to the lucid stage here in XJ!

I've done this for many years, not exactly like it, but similar.
I can control big parts of my dreams, but there are some parts I have no control over.
I don't think its good to do it to often though. When I do it I will be very tired and feel almost asleep and in a dream the rest of the day.

My bigbrother is a dream-expert, he has been writing a dream-diary for years, and he has lucid dreams often. Sometimes he tells me about them, but I rarely can get to the point of controlling a dream - its very hard but my brother said, that if you train you can do it very often.

It can be bad for your brain I heard if you do it often, because then your brain doesn't get any rest.

Well this seems pretty interesting, but do you control every part of the dream? like if you want a pink baloon pop out of nowhere can you make that happen?
