As many ppl has noticed, there's a thread called "Jumper vs Jumper" http://xtreme-jumps.eu/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?124195.

Maybe there could be competitions, between two pro jumpers. There would be couple of pairs, like 5 matches(5x 1v1) and after 1 week of recording there'll be release about what they've recorded. The map could be which ever admins picks (the jumpers must not have wr on that map). So 1v1, both jumpers has 1 week to rec that map and make the fastest time they can.

I know we have prochallenge, but this would be kind of different and there wont be given any points orso. (well however u want)

n1 idea but dunno if they are willing to do it

That would be very cool... Just need some admin to endorse it I guess.
Probably some world records could come out of this too.
The only problem is that the players might not actually come through and record so much, and that would kind of suck.

Why always this "demo-recording" crap? Imo it's way better if it's real man to man action, like in a cup. With HLTV and all that ofc. Would be much more interesting to see who would win when it really comes down to it. Maybe best of 5 maps, chosen by the admins or maybe the jumpers could pick out 2 each and one random. THAT is something i would like to see.

i agree with murvelman... demo-recording is all about geeking... imo it should be exactly like in cups!... random maps, pro players... and 55000/55000 HLTV :D

otcheto vs. sniperok on cg_coldbhop_v2

if recording is all about geeking then cups are all about luck :|, i think anybody can beat players like brian on a map like kz_real_caverns or dedication 911 because if he goes for an uber bhop combo and makes 1 little mistake he loses like 10 minutes :D, hell, even if he pays carefully, he can get unlucky and all you have to do is finish. so if you go wiht cups its best to pick a block map with a lot of blocks but only like 2-3 jumps per block.

PepoMerca23/10/2008 22:40

everybody can beat everybody

Dujes23/10/2008 23:15

yea, so its about luck that way.

The maps should be announced beforehand so both players have time to learn them unless they already do, and of course they should be picked with a little bit of thought. Cups arent random, it's about playing smart and being consistent.
Only the truly skilled wins.

OFC cup! No demos! No recording! Live cup with hltv that's the shiet!
