have tested it, the server time must be < 60 mins! :)
Nice job!
A few bugs, but overall, nice work
:)
can't download now. i didn't understund... maybe cuz my bad english.
gj + nice idea
- use dynamic arrays, current plugin just supports runs which are faster or equal to 6min
- use fakemeta
- save origin as float, not integer
- remove the whole client_disconnect(id) function, it has no effect
- use hamsandwich and the Ham_Use hook to detect players pressing the start button
thx SchlumPF, i'll try to fix it!
update:
fixed some bugs, but SchlumPF, i dont know how to fix it with "dynamic arrays", "float origin"(get_user_origin() fun doesnt support float??), "Ham_Use hook"(y use this?? & dont know how to :) )
more: used LJSv2.2b7 Beam Messange, then others will see the Beam Path correctly
need other's help for this plugin
- to make the amxx smaller and better ! :)
// by the way, its not 6min, should be 1 hour.
Lol, didn't understand what is this plugin for :/ ...
can you explain me please ?
it was 6min (arraysize 361 now it is 3601)
dynamic arrays: have a look at cellarray.inc
float origin: entity_get_vector(id,EV_VEC_origin,origin), a fully translation into fakemeta would be better (cstrike, fun and engine suck, all these modules can can be done through fakemeta too which is even more cpu friendly)
ham_use: best way to hook players pressing a button, http://paste.ak-team.com/m60eb48e7
@displayBeam(id,x1,y1,z1,x2,y2,z2)
public displayBeam(id,origin1[3],origin2[3])
{
message_begin(MSG_ONE_UNRELIABLE, SVC_TEMPENTITY, {0, 0, 0}, id)
write_byte(0)
write_coord(origin1[0])
write_coord(origin1[1])
write_coord(origin1[2])
write_coord(origin2[0])
write_coord(origin2[1])
write_coord(origin2[2])
write_short(gBeam)
write_byte(1)
write_byte(5)
write_byte(30)
write_byte(20)
write_byte(0)
write_byte(random_num(50,255))
write_byte(random_num(50,255))
write_byte(random_num(50,255))
write_byte(200)
write_byte(200)
message_end()
}
thx, SchlumPF !
i'll try tomorrow maybe after.

1. press Start button
2. press Stop button (this amxx will save your jump path)
3. press Start button again, u'll see
this plugin saves your coordinations/origin while climbing to show them in a new run by colored beams. this is basicly like a kz ghost, just more simple.
i added this to your main post as a quote, remove it if you dont ike it but i needed to watch the demo/sma too to unstand what this plugin is for.
displaybeam with float coordinates :
#define write_coord_f(%1) engfunc( EngFunc_WriteCoord, %1 )
public displayBeam(id,Float:x1,Float:y1,Float:z1,Float:x2,Float:y2,Float:z2)
{
message_begin(MSG_ONE_UNRELIABLE, SVC_TEMPENTITY, _, id)
write_byte(0)
write_coord_f(x1)
write_coord_f(y1)
write_coord_f(z1)
write_coord_f(x2)
write_coord_f(y2)
write_coord_f(z2)
write_short(gBeam)
write_byte(1)
write_byte(5)
write_byte(30)
write_byte(20)
write_byte(0)
write_byte(random_num(50,255))
write_byte(random_num(50,255))
write_byte(random_num(50,255))
write_byte(200)
write_byte(200)
message_end()
}
thx doktor ! i'll try it with " entity_get_vector(id,EV_VEC_origin,origin) "
"entity_get_vector" used "engine", so no need to convert it to float .
// edit
my fault, int isn't so exactly!
dynamic arrays still puzzled
another bug:
when type "sv_restart 1", @console says:
L 10/26/2008 - 02:43:06: [AMXX] Displaying debug trace (plugin "KZChasing.amxx")
L 10/26/2008 - 02:43:06: [AMXX] Run time error 4: index out of bounds
L 10/26/2008 - 02:43:06: [AMXX] [0] KZChasing.sma::hamUse (line 99)
- use engine doesnt have this bug, i dont know why show this error msg.
another question:
if i set set_task(0.1,....) , it should be OK or not?
I don't have time to test it right know, but i wanted to know if all the beam appear when pressing the start button again or if it's progressive (i mean like a real ghost)
look this demo(-my bad english):
