Update the rules
Hi all, i have a suggestion to make/update movie releasing rules. Something like this... Pls comment my ideas if im wrong, because the .mkv, .mp4 and other formats suck. .avi = to big size, .mp4 = laggy.
1. all movies must have .dem files in the .rar archive
2. all movies must be .wmv format
3. all movies must have a readme file how to open the movie, where to get codecs or players, if it has some unknown formats to other people.
Now you're talking bullshit... Moviemakers are free to encode their movies with whatever codec they want or get a few encodings (XviD,x264 f.e.). WMV9 has the same quality/size as a good encoded XviD footage. About the codecs... hmmm google should be fine? The .dem files included in the .rar ain't that bad idea.
P.S. To clear things up: the so-called mp4 (x264 actually) is laggy cuz your PC probably can't handle the bitrate but it's still a really good codec.
I agree with Acidas. And not only that he's from LT, but also cuz I downloaded some codec and some player what reads any formats, but I don't like the way movies are anyway, cuz or frames are lagy or sounds are lagy (yes, maybe quality is good, but it's not worth it, cuz I can imagine a better one)... =P
omg... just download a good codec pack (like K-LITE ... it`s free....) and/or VLC player.... u wont have any problems... if the problems still appear... then u SHOULD rly change ur comp... wtf...
about the demos... not a bad idea :)

+1 That .wmv thing is stupid....
they should really add the dem files but rather in a seperate rar file... for example i just have dsl leight and dling 200mb w/o rar files takes me aboput 1.5h... k you may say most users have a "normal" dsl but this dem package should still be seperate in ym eyes
You people need to do some research before you ask for such a stupid thing to be done. After you do some research, then we can really know if you're stupid or not for suggesting it.
