Now I am p * ssed completely of.
The fact is that I've downloaded Adobe After Effects CS3 Trial, and the program filled well. With my slow connection, it took about. 1 ½ hours.
But after this long wait time, I will of course install and test it right away.
Noot!!!
When I install it says that I am missing SSE2 to my CPU, and it is an AMD Athlon 2600+

A small example of why SSE2 requirements is silly:

It may indeed be quite annoying if a really experienced person in video editing just buy the new version, because he know what he should and is so clever that he does not need any information. And so he is spending just a few thousand dollars on a program like his PC can not run, not smart? There are not many who do so, but i actually think that some people are stupid enough.

This is why I think it is ridiculous that you MUST upgrade your PC to run such a program, because for the first it's costing even more money, and secondly, is enormously annoying.

I certainly thought that my cpu actually HAD sse2; is not there a way to get it on when it unfortunately is not?

I think, for example, a program that can do some fiddle with the CPU or something ?

plz answer quickly

Try to write it in English so it makes sense, google translator is not the answer, even though your English maybe sucks.

no rofl... u need to buy a cpu that has sse2 technology...
its not like ur overclocking ur processor lol...

if u rly want to work in After Effects, try AE7...it doesnt need an sse2 processor...

oh... and as a tip: mostly all dual core processor have sse2 technology built-in...

PS: its not stupid to have such requirements for such a program. u`ve never opened the program and u say its stupid... AE is a very powerfull video editing tool and for it to work properly (not perfect...but decently) it needs some minimum requirements (just like newer games need good graphics cards and shitloads of RAM...)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SSE2 - read here about sse2
