Error verifying Steam UserID Ticket

Hi, a friend of mine is getting this error after he creates a lan server ... he plays 5 mins and then he gets this error.

He tried removing the following files :

* Steam.dll
* SteamUI.dll
* ClientRegistry.Blob

but he couldn't fix it though :S ...

anyone know more about this problem ?

Usually if I go to File ---> Change user in the main steam window, and then log out and log back in the problem fixes itself... Don't know if that's covered by deleting any of those files you listed.

s1gh the problem is that he probably has this error always when he is on his own listenserver with sv_lan 1 like me. i randomly get this error and neither deleting the files above nor restarting steam does work

this is caused sometimes when steam servers is very loading... (from steam faq)

unfortunately i never had this problem before + its occuring always when i start a listenserver with sv_lan 0. i started having this problem after the big steamupdate
