i have a map for garry's mod with some realllllly nice ambient noises but i dont know how to access said ambient files. there are no .wav files in the "sounds" folder but there IS a soundcache folder for the map (rp_cscdesert_v2-1_propfix.cache). is there a way to extract the ambient sounds from the .bsp or the .cache file? is there a program i can use? i need these sounds EEEE!

If the map is bspzipped you cant get the soundfiles out of the bsp-file. And since you didnt found any sounds in your sounds folder its probably zipped. But most hl2 maps use soundscapes with sounds from hl2. Those sounds are in the gcf files of the game. You can extract those files with a program called gcfscape which you can download here --> http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/index.php?p=26

I hope that helped a bit ;)
