I am actually rather unsure about this fact. My guess would be a few months before I registered to Xtreme-Jumps, but prior to actually starting active climbing/jumping I played a few kz-maps occasionally. I was a really bad climber back when I was a shooter, but I guess it figures. Anyways, the first time I played a kz-map was probably when the first ones got out - I remember some bean-maps, kz_man_bigezclimb, zr_hetablock as my first map experiences. The first bunnyhop-maps I had the pleasure of playing were cg_coldbhop and bkz_goldbhop if I recall correctly. It took YEARS for me to develop an interest towards this shit. It never got my full interest at any point, though. I pretty much play shooting and climbing with a 50/50 ratio. Before I started active kz-playing I was playing Hide n' Seek with my real life buddies (they funnily died a few months back, both of the guys who introduced me to HNS) and from those HNS-servers I met KeltA who introduced longjump-maps and some other maps to me. My initial task in longjumping was simply to break the longjump record my irl-mate had: 244.9 stats. It took me over a month of longjumping to break it as no one was instructing me in any way. Heh. Look at me now BITCHES! I have 255 block! Well, anyways, my active gaming started a few months before I registered to XJ; 2 years and a few months.

On June 15th, 2008 at 4:11 P.M. PST. I connected to PhooGi's 24/7 KZ Server [kz-na] (IP Address: 66.150.188.79:27015). The players in the server consisted of shaggs, PhooGi | dropsys, {MeridiaN}SticKy, PhooGi | Fuzzerd, RaMseAZ | kz.be, Nas, V0ls Football, PhooGi | gangien, nerVe (music), and nut$hot. The map was set to bkz_cityblock. It took me 5 minutes and 12 seconds to download the map. The server did not have FastDL enabled. It was not until June 15th, 2008 at 4:16 P.M. PST that I first laid eyes on a jumping map. Then, on June 15th, 2008 at 4:17 P.M. PST, I jumped for the first time. However, I failed to land on the block, as it was just too high for me. After watching several other players jump onto the block, I felt my self-esteem dissipate. I felt like a loser who couldn't jump high enough due to all of my excess body fat weighing me down. However, after observing other players jumping onto the block, I noticed something! Suddenly, I had an epiphany. I realized that in order to land on the block, one must perform a duck-jump. For those of you unfamiliar with the duck-jump, it is an advanced jumping technique which allows the player to jump higher. To execute the duck-jump technique, the player must first jump, and then tuck his legs and feet in when he is airborne. This allows the player to land higher up. Also, it makes the player more arrow dynamic by reducing the air resistance from his legs and feet, which allows him to navigate through the air without as much speed loss. After I discovered this technique, I was able to successfully land on the first block after only 28 attempts. Finally, on June 15th, 2008 at 4:20 P.M. PST, I successfully landed my first jump. Another noteworthy feat was my successful first attempt to jump to the second block. I had achieved two successful jumps in a row. This was the first time I had ever done two things correctly in a row in my entire life. Then, I jumped towards the third block, only to hit my head on a rock and fall to the ground. I still remember the sinking feeling I felt in my stomach. It was as if everything I'd ever achieved in life crumbled before me. And then I heard my mom calling. She told me that it was bed time. So I went to bed, and my mom tucked me in. And that is how I began my journey as a counter-strike jumper.
