Making a Fade Texture

I cant find this anywhere else so here goes:

I have Photofiltre (not Photoshop) so I dont know if anyone can help but im wondering how to make a texture fade to black (like the rock textures in prochallenge_bhop). T'would be nice!

Seems logical to make a normal texture and then copy that same texture as a new file and apply a transparent to block gradient onto it.

thats how it would be done owned :) but i would give it a bigger fade in the end. So that the end of the texture is more black.

There was something like Fog effect, or just ask rad0n , for advice

i think gradient has to be
1 side - color u want
2 side - transparent

but process isnt so simple, u have to use alpha chanels to get the other side of gradient transparent ingame...wait for someone with bigger experience to tell u.

You have a outdated PhotoFilter ? Cause i don't see 2 options for Opacity.Even if u have u still need the second option for opacity :/ ( also i have no exp in photofilter )

Thanks for repley guys, i found it by my self.
There was a second TAB in the software with the same name....:D
